Summary: I got these in the Black Friday Lightning Deal for a brilliant reduction. They really are mini - only barely big enough for even my small ears - but the sound is very good quality. Try blaring some hip hop through them. The bass is impressive for the price and size. So far so good, but their durability has yet to be tested.
Excerpt: AKG isn't a well known brand. I was very skeptical when I received them for Christmas but even a quick listen in a small busy shop changed a few perceptions surrounding them. They are not too bad at blocking out background noise in busy surroundings so I thought why not give the heads up for receiving these. I am pretty impressed by them, the sound quality is very good.
Summary: I have owned Sennheiser and Grado headphones but AKG have turned out to be the best, certainly as far as high end affairs are concerned. I have a pair of Q701's which sound just fantastic with the HiFi kit. However they are hard to drive and need a good source so I decided to buy the K430's for my computer and mp3 player. As far as the sound quality is concerned I was not disappointed. It is well balanced across the frequency range with no particular enhancements.
Summary: These are very nice headphones and ideal as they fold up very small and fit into a carry case. The sound is very good with a slight base. The only problem is on a windy day you here the wind more than the music, yes you can turn up but then everyone else can hear the music and I find that irritating if i had to listen to someone else's music.
Summary: I bought a pair of these headphones to replace a pair of headphones that broke recently. I use them with a Samsung P3 media player during my daily commute, so I need a pair of 'phones that are durable and entertaining to listen to. I do like them as well, and are much better than the pair I had before from another manufacturer. This is what I like about them: * the sound quality is excellent, with an even-handed presentation throughout the frequency range.
Excerpt: AKG is a make of headphone which I would rank lower than Sennheiser or possibly even JVC. although they come up well in the design stakes, I have always been skeptical of whether the sound quality is on a par. The K 430 model does have quite a lot going for it though. In the design stakes, the stylish look of the headphone is going to attract a crossbreed of customer, from recording professionals who want the minimal look to those casual buyers who might be drawn to the...
Summary: I had some sennheiser in the ear canal headphones, however they kept breaking so I bought these after recommendation. Firstly I must say the range is superb.... didn't realise how limited the previous headphones were. In this current cold snap as well, they keep my ears nice and toasty, and even though not noise cancelling, as they are over the ear and nice shape, they cut out most external noise without having high volumes.
Summary: Five stars has to be reserved for perfection and these aren't perfect but they are great value for money and sound really good. I'd like to give them four and a half but I can't work the technology! If you want a really good pair of portable headphones that are affordable and sound as good as you could need while on the go, these are they. They are, genuinely, so comfortable that you can wear them all day and forget they are on.
