Current Revision of a Classic Design

  • Excerpt: A stalwart in studios and music schools, this model line has been around forever. For good reason, as it offers neutral and balanced reproduction throughout it's range. Personally, I use it plugged into a digital piano.

Initial Evaluation... adequate for my purposes

Rick, B&H Photo
  • Excerpt: I initially bought a different brand that cost virtually the same, and the only difference physically being the other was a closed design. My use is making my own recordings by miking acoustic guitars and vocals, then mixing.
  • Pros: Clear Sound, Versatile

These are perfect for what they are

  • Excerpt: To be honest, I've heard a lot of good and bad about these headphones and all the bad I've heard is a load of garbage. Not enough bass? Seriously? The bass is clear, articulate, and very present without being overpowering. Sound quality is exceptional. Comfort is another huge win.
  • Pros: Clear Sound, Durable, Lightweight

favourite at home/studio headphones

  • Excerpt: I use these for home recording/producing. They are extremely comfortable, for long periods of time too. Also wear glasses and they're still comfortable. Sound quality is awesome. The semi open ear design means it's not the best when recording vocals, but there's probably a diy fix you can pull off...
  • Pros: Clear Sound, Durable, Easy To Use

These are so neutral and flat that you know they are giving you a real idea of what the engineers did in the studio. You can really play them very loud... and they just cruise along. Comfortable too.
