Clear, Focused, and Comfortable!

  • Excerpt: I have been using a pair of Bose AE headphone for a number of years so I was not sure what to expect. After I got them on for the first time the audio was clear and everything sounded wonderful. Now I am still getting used to them and breaking them in but so far they are wonderful. Now just to let people know, because of there simi open design, you will hear a lot more of the room. If you are in a noisy environment you will need to increase you volume.

Still sound great.

  • Excerpt: Though I still have a pair of the old school Austrian AKG K-240 headphones I bought around 1985 that I still love the sound on, I wanted a pair with 55ohm resistance and a 3.5mm mini plug that I could use on my portable equipment. Out of the box, there seems to be a lot more bass (although maybe that is the result of the lower resistance?) The new ones sound very good, but not quite as clear in the midrange.
  • Pros: Clear Sound, Lightweight

The great AKG D5

loveparadavedj, Ebay
3 June 2014
  • Summary: Great microphone, high performance with a thin and elegant appearance. Its natural sound, high sensitivity and sound pressure level allowed me to use in choirs, interviews, all kinds of pop vocalists, jazz and rock.

Nice, but not exceptional

BDunham, Crutchfield
24 April 2014
  • Summary: The look nice, the cord has a dual 3.5mm/.250" jack with a nice gold-plated threaded adapter (best setup I've seen yet for this) and a mini-XLR on the left can only. Comfortable, even on my big head. They don't quite look "pro"--maybe low-end pro. Sound is good, even, possibly a little bass-shy, but warm, even, not boomy. You will hear everything there is in a recording, the only issue is whether you hear it properly balanced.
  • Pros: Good, even, complete sound at very good price.
  • Cons: Audiophile Grade "B" at best, appear to be made OK, but not exceptionally well.
