Very Nice

KW6LA, eHam.net

  • Summary: These are considered the studio standard in circumaural open back headphones for good reason. The sound reproduction is excellent, with clear bass and midrange and a very balanced profile through the entire frequency spectrum. Got to be the most comfortable headset ever, and you can wear them for hours.

Solid, reliable with great sound

  • Excerpt: We use these in a live PA environment at front of house for the audio engineer to use to do a quick PFL of channels. Gives us a very accurate monitor to listen to the nuances of what is coming into the console.
  • Pros: Clear Sound, Easy To Use, Lightweight

"The Best headphones for anything...studio...audiophiles...home users...outdoor use"

  • Excerpt: Simply excellent. Wide soundstage, not that much as K702, but great. Trebles are little higher, but nothing disturbing. Bass is fine, even in subsonic level and middles are well-blended between these.

  • Summary: Review on the AKG K240 MK. II It's been a while since I wrote up a review, and well...I'm back again with another write up!      Introduction Lately, I've been on the prowl for a pair of headphones that offer the open/semi-open back design, as I was curious about these types of headphones. Coming from a pair of V-Moda M100's, I was really after a quality alternative to the closed-back, bassy headphones.
  • Pros: Clean, Clear, Natural Sound, Thick & Creamy Mids, Good Tonality & Resolution, Spacious/Airy Soundstage, High in Detail, Good Amount of Accessories
  • Cons: Plastic Build, Bass-Lacking

  • Summary: I love these headphones. I have been using little earbuds for a while, and they have been quite good, for earbuds, but I decided that I needed better headphones for both listening to music and operating the soundboard at my school. I just received them in the mail today, and have been listening to them for the past three hours straight.
  • Pros: Amazing quality of bass, mids, and upper ranges, very comfortable, great depth of sound, no blurring of audio, no "in-head" feel, light, feels durable
  • Cons: cord is very long, burn-in takes a little while, EDIT: great difficulty changing cords FURTHER EDIT: difficulty individual and unlikely, due to defect

Im not the only one who loves these!

  • Summary: I was glad to see my favorite pair of headphones shared with so many here. I bought these for a mixer board with my Hammond A100 and Mellotron recording work. Then later a large scale part 15 AM array and now with my Heathkit modified HW-7 QRP rig which is rated for 1000 OHMS. I can't recall how they work with my Hammarlund but great for all solidstate gear as these are top notch performers. Lightweight too and don't fall apart!
