Summary: Like many others, it seems, these are my first pair of good headphones. Going into my audio engineering college program, I needed a pair of headphones and these were one of the ones they recommended. They looked amazing, and were guaranteed to be the best pair of headphones I'd heard, so I got them!
What's in the box?
Summary: After getting a FiiO e10, to bypass the crappy onboard sound on my computer, I was looking for some headphones to replace my Sennheiser HD485's and to kind of justify the purchase of the DAC/amp. After perusing the forums I noticed a trend about the AKG 240's, they pop up only now and then as a recommendation, but, at the same time, they seem to be consensually regarded as solid headphone.
Pros: Comfort; Midrange; Clean strong bass; Non fatiguing sound
Summary: Still use it as my main pair, currently trying to find a replacement. But totally happy with my choice. Generally the treble is lacking and it was overall the audio quality was a downgrade from my previous set of cans which was the Grado SR80i but the high level of comfort totally won me over.
Cons: For the price I paid, audio quality can be better
Summary: I have been running a project studio for around 5 years now. I didn't start out with the flashyest equipment, or with all the knoledge. Over time I have learned a lot, and upgraded my gear. My most recent upgrade is a pare of the AKG K240 series headphones. I just got them about two hours ago actualy. I went into the control room, and plugged them into my Firepod, fired up the PC and started listening. That being said, I will hit the audio aspects of these phones first.
