  • Summary: I'll keep this very short.  They are very smooth sounding.  Treble toned down so not so good for rock but have a magic about them that makes them better than mark 2.  I use them with a '89/'90 Marantz PM50 integrated.  Very powerful amp with a great headphone out.  Don't need to go past ten o;clock even with these 600 ohm babies. Anyway, great vintage headphones that are well made and worth a go at the right price.
  • Pros: liquid smooth
  • Cons: none to think of.

K141 mk2

A Lamphead, Amazon

  • Summary: These are very impressive cans out the box. Nicely balanced with a neutral to very slightly warmer sound. Best I can describe it is rich and full bodied. They have so far sounded great with anything I play, not like the Grado SR80 which can sound fatiguing with some or even any music after a while. These are not as 'in your face' as the Grado SR80.

Wow!

  • Summary: Having got them out of the box I first compared them on my mobile phone with the AKG K420's i have and at first was disappointed as they were much quieter than the 420's even with a headphone amp. I then tried them in my laptop with the headphone amp and they were pretty good. After 15 minutes or so I kept noticing that I had to reduce the volume on the laptop as they were getting louder. I assume that these need to "run in".

Great sound and delivery service

  • Summary: Just received my headphones in very short time (3 days from placing order) Sound quality is superb, I already had the old version of this new model for fifteen years but they were not suitable for the new LCD TV I have just bought because of the high impedance (600 Ohms). These are almost identical in appearance (silver not gold finish)and same great sound. Three metre lead is good for sitting in my armchair in comfort watching my DVD's.

  • Excerpt: I have three years, and my grandmother used it for twenty years before me. I love her neutrality. I also have a audiotechnica less accurate. I got it for twenty euro Used (model vintage silver!). This choice I would do without hesitation, I have never heard better headphones (even the sony to 500 euros).
