Excerpt: I was trying to decide what headphones to get for months and finally decided on this pair. They are much better than I even imagined. I am a newbie at mixing, but as far as I can tell, these seem to give an acurate sound. The velvet pads are really soft and comfortable. If you are looking for on ear headphones, these are excellent and economical. The detatchable cable is also a plus, since that is what I ruined first on my last pair of headphones.
Excerpt: Clear sound. I was anticipating that much when i was ordering this. Sound quality is great. You are getting this if you want clear sound with highs and mids and bass that is clear and strong while not being thumping (ie not covering the rest and sounding muddy). If someone wants a heavy thumping bass that can harm ears then no. This one is about clarity and "unpolluted" sound. And because its 55 ohms it can be used on a PC or on a portable mp3 player with no issues.
Summary: EDIT (9/23/2011) : After getting my hands on a couple of "Audiophile Reference" albums, I did more critical listening and added more impressions.
(12/9/2011) : Finalizing review after gathering 200+ hours of use.
Hi guys, this is my first review, so forgive any mistakes. :). This is also my first headphone purchase beyond $60, so my thoughts about this headphone might not be as accurate compared to those with more experience.
Pros: Easy to drive, smaller for portability, great finish, great sound for the price, treble and midrange.
Cons: Long-term comfort, shallow pads, K 240 mk. II is better in everything besides portability, lacks bass punch
Summary: I am one of those annoying people who listen to music constantly. Be it around the house or on my commute to work. I go through headphones more than I do shoes! So I am very impressed that these headphones have lasted so long. It has been a year, and still going strong. They are comfortable, the sound quality is good (not the best, but very good) and they look quite cool too. I would recommend these to people who are sick of their headphones always breaking, like I was!
Excerpt: One of my personal favourites, never had more fun playing games that need that extra bass in the background music and sound effects. 60 or more pounds for a head set might be pricey but is worth it, the AKG K 141 MK 2 is amazingly comfortable and has never given me soar ears. Friends also use this set to create and mix music, they say this head set is one of the few that actually give them perfect sound quality.
Excerpt: This is a good headphone, low impdance can not connect anywhere prs and immediately have the PCHE in the sound. It's from the main intrt MODEL monitor. It looks sturdy and trs is what motivated me to buy for example the cable is attached to an Earphone with a mini jack is no risk of p ter welds (what happened to me with all my headphones previous ones).
Excerpt: - I use it for one month - The particular feature I like most is certainly the one most certain dplaira: bass. This headphone flatter bass, and that lgrement ... So ceusses looking headphone misque die, go your way IMHO. Especially since it lacks a bit of claret in the treble.
Excerpt: Stereo space beautifully rendered, Lower prcise and never dull sound trs pro, neutral .... It's not for nothing qu'AKG dominates the world of the studio for years. .. I am my troisime, and I find it unthinkable to mix or mastering without him. Pay the price ... more than 700 francs ... has had a bit expensive (when the other ct concurence to cost the same price!).
