Summary: Able Planet headphones are the best kept secret on the market. These headphones out perform the competition no questions asked. They are comfortable on your ears for long periods of time and they are light weight. I wore them on the plane, but will use them to mow the lawn and when using the weed trimmer to save my hearing. The sound quality is exceptional! I can hear the high frequencies clearly and don’t have to blast the volume.
Summary: I bought these to help pass the time while mowing and was pleasantly surprised at how well they negated the low frequencies of the mower and blades. They do cause your ears to get a little warm while working outside on a hot day but that is a small price to pay in order to be able to listen to an audio book. Well worth the price.
Summary: I just "broke" mine in on across country flight. Using them on my laptop to watch movies and in the aircraft's audio system. Noise cancellation was very effective reducing the background drone of the engines to a slight bit of white noise. Audio coming through was very clear. A real plus was the inline volume control. The aircraft's audio changed volume is rather large increments making it either too loud or too soft.
Summary: Exactly 'WOW' is how I describe this headphone! I'm a Weekly Road Warrior and have tested a colleague's '$300 Noise Cancelling headphone'....you know the BIG 'B-Word' NAME BRAND? All I can say in comparing the Performance and Value that I get with this Able Planet unit is that I feel like a 'Warren Buffett' for NOT having WASTED an additional 200+ Bucks to buy the 'B-Word' Headphone!!!!!!!
Summary: Wow! These headphones are incredible! For me, the most important elements of a headphone are volume and noise canceling. Volume: The headphones produce the same crisp, clear sound when they are turned low or high volume. Noise Canceling: Amazing! Completely masks the sound of an airplane engine and the voices around you. I travel a lot for work, so privacy is a luxury to me. When I wear the NC500TF headphones, I am closed off from the distractions around me.
Summary: Whatever Linx Audio is, it is amazing! The NC500TF headphones: -Loud (but the sound is just as good when playing low) -Noise canceling -Come with hard-carrying case -Comfortable -Reasonably priced The cord of the headphones has a volume control on it. I use this feature every 5 minutes when the level of sound varies on each song from my MP3. Do your homework, then come back and buy the AblePlanet headphones. I did, and I am 100% happy with the decision.
Summary: Three babies near me on a short (3 hour) flight and I heard not a peep. Sat in the back on the way home and the engine noise was horrible until I put these over my ears and turned them on. The only bad thing? The loss of volume. Might be my Sansa and LG Vu, but I think it was these headphones. I recommend them to anyone who flies and wants some piece and quiet.
