Summary: The PalmOne Zire 31 is great for the person who doesn't want a large planner to carry around. I use mine everyday both as a student and for work so it serves it's purpose. The software is a bit outdated and the memory space is small compared to the newer technology but if you're only using it for...
Summary: The Zire 31 is great for the price (about $70) from an amazon seller. This is my second one. The first lasted about 3 1/2 years before screen fade set in. Unfortunately, palm doesn't make this anymore. It has card expansion slot which the Zire 22 doesn't have.
Summary: I have just bought the version bundled with a GPS and ViaMichelin route mapping software. The software comes on a 128Mb SD card and uses it all up with a complete UK and Ireland street map. It also includes Points-Of-Interest, like petrol stations, car parks, museums, restaurants etc.
Pros: Fast startup time, 'bullet-proof' Palm OS, Excellent as a routefinder for the car.
Cons: With the routemapping software installed 16Mb internal memory is cutting it fine.
Summary: This is my first Palm Pilot, before I was using LCD screen organizers because Palm was so expensive. I really bought the Palm for gaming, the best game Ive found (Internet Demo) was MicroQuad. Its like a Mario Kart racing game.
Pros: Nice color screen,MP3 music, Games
Cons: Low Resolution 160x160, Battery Life, 90 day warranty, Doesn't support OS5 games
Summary: This pda is great. Of course the mp3 music or videos will drain the batteries. Everything will drain the batteries. i love it. it is the best ever, i love it tons. I have had this pda the longest ever. I have alot of memory left, cause i am using the SD card for Music and Applications.
Pros: Everything except the weaknesses listed under Weaknesses.
Cons: Cannot see in sunny light-outside-daytime, and alarm could be louder-much.
Summary: I am definitely pleased with my purchase of this palm pilot. It is user friendly for us "technology challenged" people. I love the aspect that I can hook it up to my Dell laptop and transfer information between the two using Microsoft Outlook.
Pros: user friendly, color display makes it easy to use, upgradeable
Summary: The Zire 31 PDA is a good value for the money. It has a sizable memory, plus a built in MP3 player. An additional menory card is recommended to hold MP3 files. Its Graffiti 2 is a difficult transition at times from standard Graffiti.
Pros: Dollar value, display, memory, avalible plug-in.
Cons: Occasionally loses focus (does not reconize stylus movement).
Summary: I've owned both Handspring and Palms. The color on this is great - but I wish it could be backlit. It is hard to see in bright sunlight. The rubber cover is ridiculously flimsy. It's light weight, but doesn't feel as sturdy as my Handspring Edge.
