Tries to do too much, falls short in most areas

  • Excerpt: I remember when I first got my Palm VII and tried to use it as a phone. To be honest it was a failed attempt on Palm’s behalf and it didn’t quite fulfil any of the functions it was supposed to. I have to admit I was a bit worried about this new device, especially since it cost me almost 400 dollars to purchase. Overall I’m quite happy with it, but it could have been even better.
  • Pros: a Phone and a PDA in one
  • Cons: not a great PDA or phone

  • Excerpt: With so much choice in the PDA market, there can be only one reason to even look at the Tungsten W model. This is a PDA with a built in GSM/GPRS functionality. Simply add your SIM card to the device, the device is unlocked so will accept any network. You now have a PDA with phone functionality and abilility to connect to internet or to download emails/data.
  • Pros: Built in phone, great battery life, built in keyboard
  • Cons: Older OS, coming to end of life
