Summary: I bought my T5 in October 2004 as a birthday present to me. I had a IIIxe which worked great (before that a PalmPilot Pro). I didn't NEED the T5 but I sure wanted it and I loved it. It was my portable mini-laptop. With the wifi card I checked my business email at hotspots (and did light web browsing). With the fold-up keyboard I created and modified Word and Excel documents. With software upgrades I used Brainforest outliner and J-File database.
Summary: I purchased a T5 from Palm One, Palm's internet site. I've had 3 or 4 different Palm Pilots over the years, starting with a Palm Pro and ending with this T5. Short of the story is Palm refused to honor the warranty when it went bad. The T5 was a nice machine until one day when it decided to simply quit working, apparently not that uncommon. Palm then proceeded to waste my time for several days finally deciding not to help.
Summary: I recently bought a Palm Tungsten T5, since I have had Pilot IIIx and V in the past. I've always have had problems with them. With the III, one day it stopped working all together. With the Palm Pilot V, I had several issues, which I will not mention due to time restrictions (it would take me quite a bit to describe and detail).
