Summary: This pda is hard to set up and use unless you're using only the main functions such as calendar, contacts, note pad and memos. The pda won't recognize the SD card, which you have to have for Real Player.
Summary: The touch screen broke after 8 months. Replaced whole unit and 2nd E2 touch screen went bad after 4 months!! I babied it but the touch screen still failed!! It starts by activating the line below/above where you touch. It gets twitchy and will jump around where you touch.
Pros: Nice organizer. Great features. Compact and easy to use.
Cons: Touch screen fails often. Can't handle more than 1GB memory card.
Summary: After 4 months mine went dead. Palm wanted $75 to look at it. I found a website that instructed me to take it apart and unplug the battery. It wasn't easy but it worked. I have to repeat the process about once a month.
Summary: I have had an e2 and a palm lifedrive in the last 2 years... both had loving carre and both are BROKEN... Palm will gladly repair it for $150 plus shipping ... they dont Last ... look elsewhere!!!
Pros: when it works it is ok ... but it wont last
Cons: 90 day warrenty on a product that WILL break
Summary: This really started out to be a great tool. I needed something like this to enter data for work. It really worked flawlessly for about eight months and then the trouble started. Tech support said to do a hard refresh and re center the touch pad. No joy Went back to them and got no response at all.
Pros: When first bought this was my answer to all of my desires. It had a crisp display and most of the features that I needed. Touch pad was extremely sensitive and accurate.
Cons: Eight months later, the touch screen malfunctioned. Could not enter data in the lower portion of the screen. No data could be entered except via computer interface. Tech support was NO help.
Summary: Palm used to be the best, but they apparently got confused and decided to join the WallyWorld school of sales and service, except without the service. Buy something else.
Pros: Compared to the original E, it is much faster, with a great battery life. And my screen is actually much quieter than my E was, almost silent in fact. Of course, that may be because I rarely turn it on...
Cons: As everyone else has said, the screen really bites. It is almost impossible to keep aligned, and that makes graffiti nearly unusable, which makes the unit nearly unusable. I tried every trick and app and patch out there, but nothing really works for long. Guess I have to join the WinCE world now...
Summary: I really liked this PDA, it did all I asked it to do. Now it is nothing but an expensive paperweight. The screen alignment began to "fail" after about 6 months. A reboot and re-alignment procedure would restore function, but the episodes began to be closer and closer together.
Pros: Worked great until it "died". Easy to use, easy to sync, lots of useful functions.
Cons: After about 6 months screen alignment failed and the unit was un-usable.
Summary: When I first got my Tungsten E2 I loved it. It did everything I wanted and was easy to use. After about a year it all of a sudden developed a very loud buzz/hum from the screen. It is loud enough that everyone around me can hear it and it drives me nuts.
Pros: Great functionality for a reasonable price
Cons: The screen makes a loud noise and Palm says its normal
Summary: This unit was provided with a Banks Tuner for a diesel pickup as a remote tuner. It kept shutting off causing me to giggle the power cord and reboot the system constantly. It finally shut down and I was unable to get it restarted.
Pros: Easy to use, easy to view, good color
Cons: No battery backup, Power cord doesn't make a solid connection.
Summary: Newegg rocks, but buy a different brand PDA.
Pros: Its not a bad PDA, usually works as desired. Good features and battery life.
Cons: Let me just start by saying I used to work in technical support. Support for this PALM devices is without question the worst support on the planet. They are reading you scripts and will give you cookie cutter solutions. I wouldn't doubt that they are reading solutions from their own forums. If yo...
