Summary: Was not the thing for me. I prefer my T: I wasn't expecting this one- and I got it from a local sale that was going on. IDK (I don't know) if I envisioned/exaggerated more of what it could do- but I am going to list it again- as it is something that will not work for me. Alright- so I previously had used a Dell Axim X51V, and it was owned for a short time yes, but I owned other devices with Palm OS and was actually very happy with their functionality- so why do I dislike...
Summary: I had to buy a 'spares or repair' to get the items missing from original purchase. So far it seems to work okay but I have not had a chance to check out battery life yet. The PDA has good installation instructions within the unit but I have not yet worked out how to transmit details from one to another. Time will tell. I think it will be a well used item as old age has gifted me with a teflon memory. Nothing sticks! This will be an asset.
Summary: The palm 505 has now become my new memory, at 60 I tend to forget things and with this product it stays in my pocket and reminds me when to take my medications and which ones I need at that time. It also helps me remember phone numbers and other numbers that I just can't remember. It has a display that is big enough for my old eyes to see and being color does help. I do not think I can live without it now. It is like having a wife but with out the nagging.
Summary: Even though this is considered dated and lacks the versatility of newer models, I am pleased to use it for an address book, appointment setter, etc. It functions very well and communicateds easily with my computer. There are functions that I've yet to explore, but it does all I require, at present, for my needs.
Summary: I bought the Palm m505 a few days ago and was so tickled to get it in the mail to start adding my nursing programs. At first I was overwhelmed with all the parts and I had to get the new Vista program loaded from Palm to be able to sync it with my computer, but overall I would highly recommend this product to others.
Summary: I HAVE HAD 2 PALMS AND 1 PPC BUT THIS WAS THE BEST IT SEEMED TO BE NEW PRACTICALY THE BATT LIFE WAS GOOD .THE ONLY BAD THINGS WERE IT HAT NO DOCK OR STILUS BUT I WAS TOLD THAT IN THE DISCRIPTION. AND IT WORKS JUST AS I THOUGHT IT SHOULD.
Summary: The m505 is some piece of history! This unit has a metal body and a light weight plastic inner structure. very robust. The display is large. It lacks resolution so the curves you produce on the digitizer appear somewhat edgy on the display. But this is not a drawing board - it picks up hand writing without any problems, something which Apple's Newton lacked. It has as stylish cradle which supports the phone too tight so it hever bounces.
Summary: I am having fun with the Palm M505. Unlike the Tungsten T I have, I can use all the older Palm software I have. I have it mated to a Magellan GPS companion. The basic GPS software works great. I have to play with the mapping software to see how it works for driving directions. The color screen is nice. It makes an interesting photo album. You can do slide shows. While the resolution isn't spectacular, it is a big improvement from the key chain photo viewers.
