    It’s hard to rate such a device: some will like it a lot and it could replace their portable computers in some situations, but it will be useless for others. There really is a lot of memory, the user is able to write long texts (messages, documents) with the user-friendly keyboard, the browser is very good (for a mobile device) and the display is decent, but overall, the system is limited and not good enough.     As always, if you need something between a PDA and a notebook with excellent connectivity, the Advantage is the way to go. It's instant-on, has much better battery life than a notebook or UMPC, weighs less than a pound and thanks to Opera 9.5, it has a near-desktop web browsing experience.     I got the HTC U1000 which is the predecessor of the Advantage. After reading through all the post, I must say that all that speaks against it has place the Advantage and the U1000 in the wrong category. It is not a handphone per se. It is a super convenient sub-UMPC that does voice calls as well. Between carrying a UMPC and a phone everyday to do checks on my emails and presentation, I rather have two gadgets combined into one, i.e. the advantage. But if you are reall... Read more
