Nice PDA, Annoying Trackpad, Poor selection of Vital Accessories

Summary: PDA's and Smartphones are in that medival phase of their life much the way PC's were in the Windows 3.11 & Win95 days, where you find something really cool then suffer from lack of drivers and other annoying road-blocks.
Summary: This is a VERY wise investment. With my PPC, I can do many things. I can configure/setup my network and my servers. I can also use the many 3rd party programs out there (vncviewer, AIM PPC, GSPlayer, PocketNestor, Betaplayer, wififofum, skype, and much more!).
Pros: Awsome 480x640 TFT screen with beautiful colors. the Bluetooth and WiFi is fantastic, with the ability to connect at quite astonishing ranges. Metal caseing instead of Dells and Palm's plastic PDA's. The battery lasts a LONG time. The touchpad is awesome, it works just like a laptop. The Mic and ...
Summary: This is the best PDA/PPC out there. Huge screen, beautiful colors, high resolution. It comes with tons of programs, and there are literally hundreds of 3rd party programs out there for it, many of them free.
Pros: Enormous screen, great resolution, lots of programs, powerful, fast, versatile.
Summary: This PDA is really designed for a business user. It really doesn't have a gamer in mind (due to the touch pad) nor should it really. I mean come on get a Gameboy or something if you want to play games.
Pros: Solid construction. Best screen on a PDA to date. Has everything you need, Bluethooth, Wireless, CF and SD.
Cons: Touch Pad not so hot. Its either to sensitve or not enough, depending on where you set it. Can't seem to find a sweet spot. With all this power it really should of had 128 megs of ram for main program use instead of 64.
Summary: While the touch-pad is nice for standard pda use it's worthless for game-play. It's also a bit to large to fit in my pocket (while the dell x51v just fits). Sure it may have a slightly larger screen and longer battery life but it comes with a hefty price (both in $$ and in size).
Don't believe the negative reviews of this device.

Summary: This iPaq gets none of the love it deserves. In truth, it is the best stand-alone PDA available on the market. First, let me address the immediate complaints made about the 4705. 1. Price Um, get a paper route.
Summary: it's a little bulkier then others but not enough to dismiss it. it's definately not a brick! very fast, great resolution and color. great software buldle. best pda out right now! good price and fast shipping with newegg.com.
Summary: This PDA is actually *SMALLER* than the DELL x50, the other review is totally incorrect. This is one of the smaller PDAs available. The video performance is also identical, not slower than the x50.

Summary: Please do not miss the superb review provided by JD Woody, it provides a much better description and is considerably more useful than HP's description of its own product. Also take special heed to all of the complaints by other reviewers about the touch pad feature.
