Summary: I've had this product before and gave it away thinking that with all other devices I would no longer need this one. I am so happy to replace the one I gave away. It has everything including a large beautiful screen and wifi. The only thing that you might miss is a phone component. For me, my phone is just a phone, no "smarter"than I am.
Best PDA for the serious mobile pro. This is not an iPad, it's a TOOL!

Summary: I've tried just about every PDA out there and this is hands down the best you can get. I say that because if there is one thing that stands out head and shoulders above the rest is the robust construction and feature set this unit provides. Its only weakness is the standard WM2003 OS it shipped with, but with the help of the XDA community, you can easily upgrade it to WM6.5 and that's when it really shines.
Very good, but required a lot of reading and searching.

Summary: I had this device before and offered it to one of my friends. I started to use the Dell Axim x51V because it seemed to be technologically one step superior. But very soon I realized that the screen size was important for me. I got a used one on Ebay, it was being sold as broken, I fixed it, and now I use it to review my stuff before submission. Sometimes I watch movies, here the quality is very good. I also play some basic pocket pc games.
Summary: This Device is not only very powerful it is a very FAST PDA capable of running windows mobile 6.1 with ease and the touch pad for mouse functions turns this PDA into a true pocket computer. As Always it has the HP robust construction and the VGA Screen is Beautiful!
Summary: Love the large screen and vivid colors. Use of the HX4700 is similar to other iPaqs. Button use took a bit to figure out and understand. The standard program/feature launch buttons act like two buttons each, where one program is launched with the touch of the button and another feature is activated when holding the same button. Changing the screen orientation is a nice feature, but will take getting used to. The touch/mouse pad is probably the only downfall.
Summary: After upgrading to WM6.1 from xda this machine runs like a Ferrari. No matter what you throw at it...A2DP (bluetooth wireless stereo audio streaming), Skype, PocketTV, SlingPlayer...the unit works literally like a "pocket" pc. Unlike all other PPCs this device can do more than one task at once! The high-res screen is stunning and still not surpassed today by most units...ditto for cpu.
