Summary: The iPaq 2495 that I bought, what? a month ago? was superb until today. Now, nothing I do seems to bring it back to life. I presume corrosion in internal connections, but there's no way of knowing. It seemed to have this problem a week or so ago, for brief periods. That is, it would lose battery power, then restart and be OK. For the last two weeks, no problem. Now, I can remove the battery, replace it, and push the cold reset.
Summary: I have been searching for a great PDA. With the new Ipad coming out, it is hard to find any stores that sell PDA's anymore. This particular model by HP has everything I was looking for in a PDA. I especially wanted the bluetooth & wi fi capability. Recommend this product to future buyers.
Summary: The PDA (hp 2495) had excessive wear to the screen from *MUCH* playing of a particular game (bubbles). Otherwise, the PDA was as advertised - and generally the unit was in good working condition. It did come with the stylus, battery, and charger and I have been using the unit successfully for its intended use.
Summary: It is life changing! I have seen other people with them before, but I never saw myself using one. Until recently my religious library became available as an encyclopedia application and I bought this iPAQ 2405b just for that purpose. Now, everyday I find a new use for it that I hadn't planned on! First thing I did was put an 8Gig CF card and a 4Gig SD card in it, so I instantly has 12G, which is enormous since most apps take only kilobytes at a time.
Summary: I love the protective flip down cover that protects the screen from scratches. It can be removed if it gets in the way when flipped up. The unit is fast and has the capacity for two expansion cards but be advised that it will not recognize anything larger than 2gb each. Battery life is very good too. The network connections make connecting to the internet easy. Overall, a very good older pda. Mine came with mobile windows 5.0.
Summary: I went to fund raiser for a Non profit organization that we like to support. Saw this at their silent auction, bought it. It was new in the box thought it would be good for helping me organize. Right from the start it would not drop the align screen page. Called HP, they suggested a clean reset, didn't work. Now I have to send it in for a $49.00 service fee, what a joke. Take my advice look elsewhere and don't buy an electronic item new in the box from a silent auction.
Summary: This is a great purchase. Is easy to install programs although usually is not easy to find one compatible with windows mobile 5. The reproduction of videos and images is wonderful, it doesn't bring acrobat reader but you can install it. About word i have used it a lot, with an external keyboard that connects with an infrated port, and it works perfect, have all the basic functions and is easy to read (without making an eye effort).
Summary: i like everything on it its easy to use and has many features like wifi, play MP3, can be used for diagnostic vehicle software due to the 22 pin connector, the screen size its just right, i have used like 250 of them and none of them has fail. they are just great.
