With HP being the Godfather of business PDAs you would expect the 914c to offer an ideal platform to handle any of your business requirements. Generally it does, but its design is not perfect and there are a few missing features that would benefit the modern working professional, such as a front-facing video camera, a TV-out function and a larger screen Read more

The HP iPAQ 914 is a smart-looking and impressively specified handset, but its looks belie a phone beset with so many problems that we must suggest shopping elsewhere. Read more

    • Crammed with features and an easy-to-use QWERTY keyboard.
    • Slightly large for the hand and pocket, and the battery life could be better.

Not a bad smartphone, but it can't compete as an overall package with either Nokia's E71 or RIM's BlackBerry Bold. Read more

When considered on its own, HP's iPAQ 914c isn't a bad phone at all. In fact it's among the better Windows Mobile BlackBerry copies around. The keyboard is good, the screen not bad, it's stuffed with features and the battery life is impressive. But it's hard to recommend a phone when in almost every area that matters it is outstripped by the best the competition can muster. Read more

I usually never have time nor need to review products, but this one is so pissing me of that I specially registered here to let you know of my dealings with IPAQ 914c I use it businesswise +/- 6 months. It's a company's mobile. IMHO this smartphone is really a joke. The major problems are powerconsumption and battery lifetime, freez of application and not user friendly network management. The battery of this phone cannot handle a day with a wifi on. Read more

    • keyboard, support of high density SD cards
    • battery lifetime; no audiojack, audio and charger are sharing the connector , terribly long loading GPS

This is a mobile e-mail experience which many of us have only ever dreamt of. Forget using your fiddly little mobile phone keypad the iPAQ 914c has a full "QWERTY" keyboard that obviously makes text entry extremely fast and efficient. Scrolling through e-mails is made easy with a "3-way" track wheel which has a versatility rivaling the trackpad on many laptops. Read more

    • Lots and lots of features, light, durable, easy to use (once you know how).
    • Can be fiddly, menu's are not always easy to use.

I have had this phone for over two weeks now and i think it is amazing. I haven't had any problems with it and it works extremely well. This is Hp's comeback to the blackberry, and i think it outranks it on every level. I would recommend it to every person who is looking for a good smartphone. Read more

I work for Hp and this phone has some faults. On the Vodafone network it uses to much power so the battery runs out of juice just after lunch. The PDA functions are very good but the software is slow to react to your commands. The phone is rubbish. Hangs up, switches itself off, locking and screen freezes are frequent. Press to answer a call and it sends the call to vmail. I would not buy this phone again. Read more
