Summary: Oh it reads like a great product - 3D GPS, fast processor, multi media player. HOLD ON - it's a piece of CARP! Got it(thought at a great price), played with it (GPS is decent), wanted to get rid of it quickly. HP, who were great with their PDA - HP Ipaq 211 is one the greatest tech toys ever made - totally screwed up the interface and the "ease of use". Why they didn't build on their expertise from the PDA days is beyond me.
Summary: This is the worst, most user UNfriendly GPS I have ever used. I got it for free and I still think I spent too much!! Freezes repeatedly, menus are confusing and misleading, the volume is too low even when it's turned up all the way, routing is strange, 3D view is terrible. Buy a Garmin instead - you won't regret it.
Summary: This unit has several flaws such as: 1) The raised on/off button is easily activated either when in teh carry case or your pocket. The battery will die on you. 2) The battery life is terrible. Basically there is no need for a battery as it needs to be permanently plugged in or will die on you. 3) The screen just stops moving and calculating, basically it freezes up. 4) If you purchase this unit, find out where the reset button is as you will need it virtually every trip!
Summary: I bought this device a year ago but I am writing a review now. I had problems from the start with the HP 310 GPS. It would always freeze up so I returned it than the last one would no longer charge. This was all in about a months time. I now have a different device. Pros= nice screen. Cons= I am pretty good at working these devices but I had problems with this one.
Summary: I was initially impressed after receiving the Ipaq 310 4 days ago. It acquired satellites quickly, the display was crisp, bright, and clear. Routing was acceptable. The interface was fairly intuitive. Then the problems started. The unit crashed twice. It spontaneously turns itself on, twice draining the battery as the device sat unused.
Summary: I had to give this 1 star but in honesty it would of been 0 I am in the UK and bought this to use when traveling in the US as its a "travel Companion" I am just about to throw it in the bin as mine is of no use to anyone. If you get a faulty item from HP then your stuck on there repair merrygo round. I got my unit back from HP EU repair people Mid April and its got the same issue again.
