The PNA provides both 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional map perspectives through its High-Definition transmissive TFT touch screen with a viewable image size of 4.3 inches. The display has a WVGA (800 x 480 pixels) resolution, a 0.039 x 0.117 mm dot pitch, and 65 thousand color support. It also has an anti-glare coating.
The iPAQ 310 is powered by a removable 1700-mAh rechargeable lithium ion battery. The device measures 4.3 x 3.4 x 0.7 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 6.6 ounces. It comes with built-in memory of 2 gigabytes and provides an expansion slot for MicroSD cards.
The PNA can also be used as a digital media player as it capable of playing videos, audio files, and still images. Audio is outputted through the built-in speaker or through headphones using the 3.5-mm 3-pin stereo jack. The same audio outputs are used for the PNA’s voice navigation features. Apart from these, the HP iPAQ 310 comes with a built-in microphone with echo cancellation features.
The HP iPAQ 310 has a mini-USB connector used for synchronizing with computers and for charging. It supports wireless communication via Bluetooth 2.0 EDR with a typical range of 10 meters.
Other features of the iPAQ 310 include web-based trip planning allowing users to simply download their planned trips to the device. It also comes with millions of pre-loaded points of interests.
