The HP iPAQ 211 is a PDA that is powered by a Marvell 624 MHzXScale PXA310 processor and has 128 megabytes of SDRAM. The iPAQ 211 runs on Microsoft’s Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.0 operating system. It features a 4-inch TFT active matrix touch screen that has a VGA (640 x 480 pixels) maximum resolution and support for up to 262,144 colors. The device can be controlled using the included stylus, the 5-way navigation pad, and 4 other buttons.

The iPAQ 211, which is powered by a single rechargeable lithium ion battery, measures 2.91 x 5.27 x 0.69 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 6.7 ounces. It also comes with flash memory of 256 megabytes which can be expanded using the available SD or CompactFlash memory card slot.

The PDA can also be used as an MP3 player as it comes pre-installed with Windows Media Player Mobile. Audio is outputted through the built-in speakers or through headphones using the 3.5 mm Mini-phone stereo jack. The iPAQ 211 also has voice recording capabilities.

The HP iPAQ 211 has a Mini-USB Type B port and it also supports wireless connectivity via IEEE 802.11b, IEEE 802.11g and Bluetooth 2.0 EDR.

The iPAQ 211 is not equipped with a telecom modem or a GPS navigation system. However, it does comes with a number of pre-installed software including Asset Viewer, File Manager, IPAQ Wireless, MSN Messenger, Today PanelLite, Wireless Manager, Bluetooth Manager, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Certificate Enroller, HP Photosmart Mobile, Microsoft ActiveSync, Microsoft Office Mobile, Microsoft Office Outlook Mobile, and Microsoft Internet Explorer Mobile.

    My ipaq 214 broke after 10 days of use, and HP refuses to fix it even though it is obviously well within the warrantee period. They plan to charge me half the price of the new item. The 24-pin connector was always stiff (unlike the nice cradle that came with my 4700) and became more and more difficult to connect during a trip I took to Iraq.
