Works but not real great

William C. Hast, Amazon
24 January 2011
  • Summary: The devices were ordered to get a job done, they do so but the limitations placed on operation by this type of device are many. They also tend to lock up or become non-responsive at times, this appears to be a issue with the OS.

Sync fail

Steven D., Newegg
14 March 2010
  • Summary: Without the ability to sync, the device is crippled. You can't download and install software into it, and the only way to transfer data back and forth is by swapping an SD.
  • Pros: It's a nifty device. The screen is bright and good looking.
  • Cons: I cannot get it to sync with any of my computers. When I first got it I managed to connect a couple of times, but now it doesn't work at all. (I think maybe the USB interface on the iPAQ is blown.)

how come the owner never responded to my email?

Midhaso Foge, Amazon
15 November 2009
  • Summary: I was disappointed that the owner never replied to my email. I felt like i was over charged for a single item that did not even have a manual in it. I don't think i will buy anything from Amazon anymore given that their is not guarantee for quality product

It has some very minor problems

Brett W., Newegg
16 July 2009
  • Summary: It works well enough for me though. Although I did have to send two back before I got a proper working one. It took me quite a while with playing with it before I finally figured out all the kinks.
  • Pros: Its quike and fast and far surpasses other ipaqs I've ever had. Such as the memory is way larger and just the browsing options are better on it.
  • Cons: It's speaker is kind of quiet. Using it for reminders is my focused usage of it. I've had to design a much louder alarm for it so I could hear it when it rings. Actually that is one of the pros too. Being able to customize the alarms that are used in this thing. Also it doesn't have a beaming por...

ipaq 210

John C., Newegg
15 July 2009
  • Summary: I'll be using this for medical school purposes. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because of the battery. The actual product though is great and being able to get it through Newegg so quickly was awesome!
  • Pros: I ordered this product on Monday night with the guaranteed 3 day delivery. What can I say, I live in the middle of nowhere and Newegg got it to me in TWO days! Well done!!! Out of the box, this item is ready to go. The software is easy to use and understand. It syncs easily to your computer using...
  • Cons: The only thing I've noticed is that the battery drains quickly. If you'll need long hours of use without being able to recharge, consideration for a longer lasting battery may be warranted.

Awesome!

Brian W., Newegg
24 April 2009
  • Summary: When you get this, ditch mobile IE, get Opera mobile. it is much faster, and has many more features. it costs a little but it is worth it. the built in speaker is not that great, but it gets the job done, i always use headphones so it is not a big deal.
  • Pros: Large Screen Lots of Memory High Density Memory Card Support removable/upgradable battery allowing easy replacement, and purchase of extended batteries direct USB connection making very easy to connect to any USB computer without needing any special cables Love this thing!
  • Cons: Not so great battery life, but battery is replaceable/upgradable the battery lasts a good amount of time as long as you do not have the WiFi or Bluetooth turned on, both of these seem to suck the battery dry to recharge you need to use the special cable that comes with it. you can however charge ...

Excellent Device

adewald, PriceGrabber
1 April 2008
  • Summary: I bought this device to replace a Palm TX that was constantly resetting itself. A long time Palm user I was expecting better performance from the TX but it never worked well even though it was replaced once in six months I had it. So I decided to make the move to HP.
  • Pros: Great Display, powerful applications
  • Cons: A little larger than expected
