Pros: fast, with wm5, faster than any other PDAs with wm5(eg.x51v)and those upgraded to wm5 (like the hx4700), oh and not forgetting the fingerprint encryption, its amazing, providing the highest security which other pdas cant give :)
Cons: it freezes once in a while for a few seconds(may b once or twice in a day?)(heard that x51v is worse) :) , screen's resolution is low, lower than its main competitor-dell x51v, but its no big deal.
Summary: When I bought this PDA my main concerns were security and its ability to keep track of my schedule. Being mostly used to a Psion 5mx and having (sparsely) used an iPAQ 3630 this one really takes the bisquit. If you, like me, like to keep the phone and pda functions seperated then this is for you. Right now this iPAQ keeps track of just about everything for me. From my schedules up to my finances.
Pros: No more pin codes; a swipe of a finger can be enough to gain access, its pretty fast and can take quite some beating, its default setup should be able to please most common users.
Cons: When using both wifi and bluetooth you can get weird results (like starting wifi and getting asked what card to use), allthough activesync does its work you'll have to buy either spb backup or (personal favorite:) Sprite backup to keep your data really safe, Because MS took out MS Money you'll need seperate software if you wish to keep track of your finances.
Excerpt: "I bought this device last year and have had almost no trouble with it since i got it. The device has a nice little docking station which worked great after installing microsoft activesync. As soon as you sit it on the docking station, all of your files, emails and just about anything you want will synchronise with the device to keep you up to date. It also charges from the mains and USB at the same time when its on the docking station so thats helpfull. One ...
Pros: Battery life, Easy synchronisation, WIFI and application compatability
Excerpt: "I was originally going to buy the HX2490 but that model was being changed and wasn't available, also the HX2790 has a faster processor (I understand). I particularly wanted a machine with WiFi and Bluetooth, both these features are very well implemented on this model. Even though I have only had the machine for a week or two I have used Wifi a lot and it is very sensitive receiving hot spots that I couldn't get with my laptop. The screen is ...
Pros: Fast and strongly made .
Cons: Has some features that are a 'little over the top' .
