Expert Review

16 March 2002
  • Excerpt: Imagine my disappointment when, not even one month into my previous review of the TRGpro, TRG suddenly announced a name change and a brand new product. Granted, the TRGpro is an excellent PDA and well worth its salt, but I was so busy getting worked up and excited about that one that I felt rather disappointed when it wasn't the greatest thing on the market anymore!

HandEra 330

PC Magazine
28 September 2001
  • Excerpt: You might easily bypass the HandEra 330 on looks alone. Don't. It packs powerful features beneath its rugged case, including both CF II+ and SD/MMC slots for expansion. The only PDA to offer a 240-by-320 display (monochrome with 16 shades of gray), the 330 has extra resolution that enables more content than standard 160-by-160 Palm devices. It's right on the money for business users who want capacious storage capability and a superb monochrome screen.

HandEra 330

Palm Infocenter
21 May 2001
  • Conclusion: HandEra designed this device with the business user in mind. It has the features that a typical salesperson might need: a voice recorder, long battery life, the ability to store and display large amounts of data, and more. They plan to primarily sell it directly companies planning to give them to their employees for some specific business task, like salesforce automation.
  • Pros: 240 by 320 pixel screen, CF and SD expansion slots, Virtual Graffiti area, Voice Recorder, Compatible with Palm III series peripherals
  • Cons: No Color Version, Comparatively Large, Poor Mac Support

HandEra 330 review

15 April 2002
  • Excerpt: From one of the smallest licensees of the Palm OS comes perhaps the most innovative machine of its kind yet built. HandEra, formerly TRG, the creator of a stealth hit with its TRGpro Compact Flash (CF) equipped Palm III, has released a handheld which contains more innovations than Palm has come up with for quite a while. The HandEra 330 is not much to look at.

Expert Review

24 September 2001
