The Fujitsu Siemens Pocket LOOX Series N100 is a personal navigation assistant (PNA) that runs on the Microsoft Windows CE 5.0 Core Version operating system. The LOOX Series N100 has a 300-Mhz Samsung processor and 64 megabytes of RAM. It is equipped with a full integrated SiRFstarIII high sensitivity GPS microcontroller chip and features the Navigon Mobile Navigator 6. This navigation software contains 3 maps including one for the United States, one for Canada, and one for Puerto Rico. Apart from this, it features voice navigation instructions.
The Pocket LOOX Series N100 measures 2.4 x 3.5 x 0.5 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 3.88 ounces. It features a 2.8-inch color transreflective TFT touch screen. It has a QVGA (320 x 240) native resolution with support for up to 64 thousand colors.
The PNA is powered by a rechargeable 1150 mAh-capacity lithium ion battery. It comes an expansion slot for miniSD cards. A 2-gigabyte miniSD card is included in the standard package.
Apart from being a navigation device, the Fujitsu Siemens Pocket LOOX Series N100 can be used as a photo viewer, audio player, and video player. It features a built-in speaker and supports WMA, MP3, and AAC digital media standards. The PNA also features a calculator, a built-in microphone, a world clock, a number of games, and exchangeable front covers.
The Fujitsu Siemens Pocket LOOX Series N100 has won a number of awards since it was launched. Some of these include the iF Design Award in January 2007 and the Red Dot Design Award in March 2007.
