Summary: Comments about Dell Axim X51v: I paid more for this hand held which is great but it doesn't have anything more than a cheaper brand would have, also the 600+ processor chews up the battery in no time, so you have to set it on the lowest setting for speed to save battery life (which is OK but if I...
Pros: Bright Screen, Compact, Easy Controls, Good Compatibility With Other Devices, Lightweight, Useful Features
Cons: Processor vs speed issue, Short Battery Life

I've had PDAs before, and nothing this bad. Do yourself a favor and try another brand.

Excerpt: This PDA is like a real Dell PC running Windows which includes bugs, hangs, and crashes! It's bad. After all the patches that were both required and not required, it still performs like a computer from the 90s. Takes forever to boot up.
Excerpt: This item was bought to use for navigation when walking. I use digital mapping and have used many different units for the mapping, some better than others. This system is a general PDA and so not the best for taking out on hikes like the Garmin or the Satmap but still does a good job at it.
Excerpt: Probably the most useful gadget I have ever owned! Seriously! My Axim X51 has the PXA270 processor running at 416MHz with 64Mb RAM and 128Mb ROM. What this all means is that it is surprisingly fast and handles most tasks easily.

The microsoft office 6.1 works well however if you are intending to use it for large scale word processing then I would...
Excerpt: Great handheld with a brilliant screen and very fast processor Pros Dedicated graphics card means it can run the most advanced games for Windows Mobile. Very fast processor is capable of running anything thrown at it. Very clear screen, was one of the first with a VGA 640 x 480 screen.
A worthy replacement of any PDA, even for Palm lovers

Excerpt: This was my first pocket pc, having shifted from Palm, and I instantly saw the familiar Microsoft features. The pocket office suite is very easy to sync with desktop office suites, and in my opinion is significantly nicer than Documents to Go.
Excerpt: I purchased this PDA because at the time i did not have a laptop and i wanted something for browsing whilst not at a PC. My first impressions of this product were that it is really user friendly.
