Summary: If you have an I-Phone and can afford to use it, then you would not be interested in an Axim X5 Personal Digital Assistant (Pocket PC) as the I-Phone technology is quite superior. But, if you cannot afford a $50 - $70 monthly phone bill for a high-tech phone, then the Axim X5 may be the cheapest and most useful gizmo (old tech) you will ever find. I purchased two Axim X5 PDAs to replace my Axim X5 that I thought was kaput (but wasn’t – only needed to be reset).
I only wish I could find a use for more of them. Well made & works great.

Summary: We found several older pocket organizers while clearing some clutter. That started me on a search for a wifi enabled pocket reader that didn't cost several hundred dollars. The Dell Axim X5 I bought on eBay I practically stole; the price was so reasonable. The seller sent everything I needed, lots of extras and with a download of the sync software, I'm in business. It is sleek, attractive and very usable.
My brand new/second hand, internet accessing PDA!!!

Summary: It surfs the internet through a wifi card. It plays Music MP3's and Music Videos that i convert into asf files. It will hook up to wifi hotspots. I can check my e-mail and facebook. Has a charger with a second battery charging slot. So, i can rotate batteries and keep it running continuously. It is a wonderful PDA. Everyone should have one.
Summary: for one thing there is still some programs left that will work! also it can still get the internet and email send and as long as these two main are still good there is no problem also to go online use the socket modem or some kind of wireless card for the axim at this time there are some "free internet" services that can be used so WHY NOT!!!GO MOBILE!!!
Summary: Mainly bought it so I can enter my own Excel formulas. Bigger screen than cell phones with windows mobile. Price is great. Be sure to get the 400 mhz instead of the 300 mhz because the 400 comes with an SD card so you don't have to worry about losing programs if batteries fail.
Summary: Absolutely love this item. I really needed a PDA to organize my life, but didn't want to spend the $400 or $500 on a brand new pocket PC. The Dell Axim suits my needs and has the capability for extras if/when I need them. It is small enough to keep in my handbag, but big enough to read the screen clearly. I am very happy with my Dell PDA and would purchase a Dell product again.
Summary: I bought this Dell Axim X5 a few days ago, im empressed with its function because all i need is in there for a pocket pc. Im not a businessman, im using it personal use only, so 32 Mb of Ram is just what i need. I can store my contacts address and phone numbers and sync it my laptop. Thsi item doesnt come with the software but i have downloaded Active sync 4.5 and it just works just fine...
Summary: I LOVE THIS THING! Although it is a little big, it has everything i need, I can add all my homework assignments into it, program my work schedule, games, Micro. Word and Excel, long battery life, neat docking station, i love everything about this, great price for the product.
Summary: I like the way the dell axim x5 feels. It has great features like music player, and expansion card. I use it as a companion to play music in the amp or for travel where I can read books or write notes. It has a good voice recorder for meetings.
