Summary: I am so very pleased with this tool. It is light and quiet, and the overall feel and heft is one of quality. We have been mounting cabinets and brackets into cinder block walls, and this punches holes with ease. I like the case, which is big enough to hold the Bosch bit/chisel set and the 1/2 inch drill chuck/SDS adapter I bought separately. The Lightning deal was a bonus, as this tool performs well enough to make it worth buying at the day-to-day price.
Summary: This rotary hammer has done everything I've asked of it. Drilled through my basement foundation with ease. Beats my hammerdrill by far and made the process of attaching cleats to wall both fast and easy. For the price, I'm not sure this can be beat!
Summary: This is my favorite drill tool. Although I can only use to drill into concrete, the wholes are made with so much ease. This is must have if you are going to drill into concrete. the price fairly low compared to other bigger rotary hammers. Of course, this may not be a super heavy duty like others that are most expensive, but it does the job for smaller projects.
Summary: I was worried at this price that this tool would do the job. It did everything I would expect. Can not see what the much more expensive rotary hammers can do for the price unless it is a full time commercial use.
Summary: Having this tool made short work for drilling into concrete. Good price made it cheaper than renting. One of those tools that isn't needed often but makes the job of drilling through concrete a breeze when needed.
Summary: The website description doesn't indicate that it only accepts special SDS bits, the box and caption state rotary hammer,so imagine my surprise when i tried inserting a rotary hammer bit for masonry and it wouldn't catch the bit. i had already purchased a masonry bit for a rotary hammer drill. thankfully i had also purchased a Hitachi DV18DBL earlier and the masonry bit fits fine.
Summary: I've been in construction for almost 30 years. Very nice drill for the money. Very powerful. I like that it came with a plastic case for storing additional bits. Also keeps it from getting beat up in the work truck. Depth gauge can be handy but I don't use it. Mostly drilling sizes up 3/8" with this drill. I have a Bosch hammer drill for bigger stuff. Some other reviews say it's loud. C'mon guys, this is a power tool.
