Summary: I bought this and the Remington detail pen. I have used people grooming tools on my dogs in the past but they have not worked. I have a poodle and a yorkie the Remington would not cut the hair on my poodle it did work on the yorkie. I like the Wahl for the poodle it is time consuming I do not use the guard and I do not have to worry about cutting my dogs. All the pet groomers I have used if you do not use the guard it is easy to cut them.
Summary: We needed a way to trim our dog's paw and this was perfect. It was sort of noisy and it took awhile to get him used to it but in the end his paws were trimmed. The product is a bit flimsy and doesn't look like it'll hold up for long term use but for quick sessions, it works fine. It did get slightly warm so do not buy this product if you are planning on trimming the whole dog.
