Summary: I'm an amplifier technician and have seen a good spread of guitar amplifiers. The Vox guitar amps that I've played have been consistently of good quality and the AC4TV is no exception. There is a lot to like about this amplifier. The controls are simple and self explanatory. The aesthetic look is fitting of a vintage lunch box amp. Most importantly however, the tones you can achieve with this amplifier are excellent.
Summary: I'm a big fan of VOX products. I really wanted to like the AC4TV but sold it soon after receiving it. It is a powerful amp for the size but I just didn't dig the tone...I much prefer the sound of my VOX Pathfinder 10 or the Brian May VBM1. The AC4TV requires (in my opinion) the use of a pedal or pedals, the other two amps I mentioned do not.
Summary: I bought this for my husband for a christmas gift. He has a Peavy 300 watt amp already, but there's nothing that compares to a tube amp. This little amp puts out a nice warm tone. The volume is plenty for practicing with our garage band. I would buy another one. The price was excellent!
Summary: This is not your stock Chinese Vox AC4TV. The seller had treated it to the modifications I would have made if I had bought an AC4TV new: a Mercury Magnetics upgrade kit (Axiom power and output transformers and choke, upgraded capacitors, and modified PCB wiring), NOS GE tubes, and a Celestion Gold 10. Touch-responsive and possessing plenty of clean headroom with these changes, there is classic Vox "jangle" in abundance and crunch-on-demand when you push it.
Summary: Great product for the quality and price, could not be better satisfied. Even before purchasing it, it was memorable. When first started playing guitar , bought a Fender combo amp. As I learned more about guitars, amps and pedals. I learned that tube amps are superior sound compare to Combo amps. Of course tube amps are more pricier, but in my opinion better. I found combo amps problematic, as they specialize in preset tones.
Summary: I've got the solid state version of this amp as well as this tube version (mine has the Bitmo mod). This amp is an incredible value and goes way beyond just a little practice amp. Louder than you would think too. Get one!!
Excelente sonido con mucho CARACTER . Un hermoso diseño

Summary: ¿Por qué el VOX AC4TV?
If you are looking for a small amp with a lot of classic tone this is it!

Summary: I purchased this product because i was looking for an amp loud enough to play a club and quiet enough for the bedroom. I certainly got both , this thing roars at the 4 watt setting. I love the tone both cranked and clean its a good overall sound if you like classic rock and hard rock. My only complaint was that i needed to replace the stock 12ax7 preamp tube. When i would back off my guitar's volume to clean up the tone , the amp would squeal "underneath" the tone.
Summary: This little amp would be a great deal at any price, not to mention the $230-250 price that it sells for new! It's truly a tone machine. And it sounds so good doing what it does... I have to be careful not to drool on myself when playing through this amp. The controls are dead simple - volume, tone, and attenuator knob for 4w, 1w, and 1/4w.
