A marvelous amp -- just one quibble

A customer in Seattle, amazon.com
7 June 2011
  • Summary: I can't say enough good things about this little amplifier. I've used it for keyboards, vocals and guitar; its sound is nice and clean and plenty loud for a range of situations. And if you have never owned a battery-powered amp, you'll be surprised at how liberating it can be -- no need to set up near an electrical outlet. I have only one tiny complaint.

Tough Little Workhorse

  • Excerpt: I bought this to use for street performances. It works perfectly with my little lap harp. Makes it sound like a concert harp with the effects and stereo. It's a professional device, but it does not defy the laws of physics. You're not going to blast out the neighborhood with it. It would be nice if they included an 'audio out' port so two or more of them could be linked together like a PA.
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Excellent Sound, Good Warmth, Portable

Tiny Blaster

High Flyer, B&H Photo
19 October 2010
  • Excerpt: Brilliant sound from such a little box! For the weight and size, it's hard to beat the decibels. Great sound device for an on-the-go DJ, parties, or use as just a iPod docking unit. Battery life is acceptable. But I would highly recommend getting some Ni-MH rechargeable AA batteries and charging them each time before use. Especially if you play your music loud. Otherwise, the power cord (sold separately) is a necessity.
  • Pros: Excellent Sound, Portable, Powerful
  • Cons: Limited Functions

Surprisingly Loud for Its Size!

Viola-ist, B&H Photo
21 May 2010
  • Excerpt: I bought this amp in my continual quest to lighten the weight of gear I must lug to a gig, as well as for outdoor busking. I used it last week to provide live background music at a dinner event for ~75 people in a large high-ceilinged conference room. I mounted the amp on a mic stand. I was particularly pleased that I did not need to use a preamp between my Shure dynamic headset mic and the amp.
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Excellent Sound, Good Warmth, Portable, Powerful

using mobilecube for vocals

olivia plunkett, amazon.com
28 March 2010
  • Summary: This is the perfect amp for my musical project, which also involves electric guitar, viola, and cello. it gives the vocals just the boost they need. i just wish the cord was sold with the amp, instead of having to purchase the cord separately. (the cord was one third the cost of the amp!) I was happy with the prompt delivery and the price of the amp, as well as the sound quality. My bandmate uses the same amp for his guitar and is equally pleased with the product.

A sonic blast for a small size

The Jade Eagle, B&H Photo
8 March 2010
  • Excerpt: If you're thinking small, powerful and portable you'll be most impressed with this amp.The quality packed into such a compact size I found remarkable. I do not exaggerate when I say I spent hours looking over dozens of amps....the Roland Mobile Cube stands out as the leader in the pack.....I plug in my BC Rich electric and I'm telling ya.....this baby wails......plus I can take it to the woods and get squirrels riled up instead of neighbors....
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Excellent Sound, Good Warmth, Portable, Powerful
  • Cons: No negative aspects found

Surprisingly wonderful product

Nestor, amazon.com
3 March 2010
  • Summary: I was shopping for a small, portable amp to help adding sound to our presentations in a small room. Looked at various products and could not decide as they were looking cheap and fragile. Until I found in the musical instruments section various cubes. I decided that this "Mobile Cube" had all the possible audio inputs while adding a bit of space with reverb and delay so I ordered it.
