Summary: Excellent little amp for practicing! The distortion channel is awesome and the clean channel is quite satisfactory. Use it to play hard rock and it certainly does the job well. Pretty good if you enjoy playing metal too... Good enough for small gigs as it is pretty loud if you turn the volume up! In summary, excellent value for the money.
Summary: Bought after watching the captain and chappers on you tube! Replaced an old Marshall combo and then some. Great tones and the clean channel is surprisingly good, very happy with this choice and really happy with service and delivery as usual, very well packed.
Summary: very nice amp.wonderfull finishing. i realy like the warm sound in clean chanel. the drive channel, for my taste is always a bit too dirty, i tryed it with 2 diferent guitars, always with passive pick ups, and i can t find the right tone. gona try with EQ pedal. i recomend it anyway, and of course andertan s is a very good company.
Summary: Superb little amp this! I ordered this as a practice amp for home, I had been using a little Orange Crush Pix 12L (looked great, sounded garbage) and wanted something with a quality tone and better features. The Blackstar has proved to be all I hoped for and more. Rich tube sounds at low volume, but still has the power to be cranked up and drive my 2x12 cab.
Summary: Did a huge amount if research before buying and was also tentative about purchasing online. I now wish i would have ordered one sooner, you cant believe just how good this set up is until you play about with it. Have both fender usa standard and gibson les paul standards and all of them sound like new guitars! Think you guitar sounds naff.. Buy a new amp first! Plus it looks amazing!
Summary: This amp is Fantastic. It can do a range of different tones using Eq combined with the ISF feature. Has as much gain as you could ever use, the digital reverb is spot on and the emulated output is perfect for home recording.
Summary: This small head and cab are ideal for home use and recording, the isf feature really lets you customise your sound beyond the usual tone controls and theres plenty of gain at really low volume, ideal for most styles except metal. loses a point because the first one i had had an iffy valve, but excellent for the price, sounds great!
Summary: Went by Andertons and other reviews and gut feeling, so pleased i did. My first valve amp, used for practice. So impressed with the tone-clean,gain and digital reverb are all there. Build quality superb, knobs and cabinet.Brilliant value for money compared with some manufacturers out there. Will buy Blackstar again.
Summary: This amp is brilliant. I am able to have the amp at sensible bedroom levels to avoid annoying my neighbours but still get great tone. When cranked up the amp is more then loud enough for jam sessions and I am able to get versatile sounds. The emulated output is very good for recording is either mode. I had previously looked at the vox vt40 and the Marshall class 5 but I think the blackstar is twise the amp.
