Summary: I purchased this grill to do traditional korean BBQ on our dining table. I've used both thin and thick cuts of meat and love how quickly the grill heats up and sears everything. The best part was that this bbq was approved by my korean mother who demanded I order her one immediately while she was visiting us. Need I say more?
Great item but cooking surface is smaller than dimensions listed for item.

Summary: This item works very well. I have made steaks, asian style spare ribs, chicken, pork, shrimp, and bacon using this grill. It heats up quickly and evenly and has a real grilled taste, unlike other electric grills that are really just griddles with raised lines. Bacon turns out extra crispy. Everything else is juicy. The clean up was also very easy. I put the drip tray in the dishwasher the first time but now I just line it with aluminum foil.
A High quality, Sturdily Constructed, Well Designed Indoor Grill!

Summary: A high quality, very well design in-door grill. Clean-up is a breeze. I simply spray the grill with hot water in the kitchen sink, thoroughly soap both sides, then a thorough rinse with the spray hose. Instructions that came with the grill advised never immerse grill in water. But after having used it for over nine months made me realized a spray around the two electrical prongs would not damage the unit.
Summary: I waited to write this review. I waited until I thoroughly tested it with Italian sausages, burgers, chicken, short-ribs, pork chops, etc.and until my veins got clogged full of that great cholesterol. It's a wonderful grill and it's smokeless especially if it's clean and the food tastes just as good as if it was done on an outdoor grill. I highly recommend it.
Summary: We used the grill for a couple of times and it started to lose non-stickness. We have many non stick products and know how to care for them. We followed the instruction for cleaning. The middle part of the grill had lots of food residue to the point we couldn't use it. I contacted Zojirushi and sent the grill back (at $35 shipping cost out of my pocket). after lengthy communication and wait, it came back without replacement.
Summary: We originally purchased a GF contact grill, but after 30 minutes of preheating, it never got hot enough to create grill marks on my steak. It may have been a defective unit, but I didn’t want to take my chances and decided to go a different route. After a lot of research, I settled on the Zojirushi countertop grill. This thing is awesome. Even though the instructions say to preheat for 4 minutes, I let it go for 10 just to be safe.
Summary: Power cord failed after 13 months. It was never dipped in water, only moistened cloth wiped it. I lived with the grill never really getting clean, even though it is supposed to be non-stick, because it grilled nicely. It did last a 13 months, but from other reviews I thought it would last. After all, it is just a heating element.
Summary: Over the years I've purchased so, so many indoor grills, and I didn't like any of them even a little bit. Most indoor grills are "contact" grills with a lid that grills the top of the food while the bottom grills the underside. I could do that in a frying pan by just turning my food. The Zojirushi is a real grill with openings for the grease to drip into a pan.
Summary: This things rocks!!! Do not waste your money on other brands this grill is perfect, the grill/element assembly is solidly built cast iron for heat distribution with a really durable heavy duty no-stick coating. The handles are connected with thick stainless steel brackets with stainless steel screws. From design to assembly, very well done!!
