Summary: After 33 years I finally had to replace my Weber 18-1/2" grill. That old grill sat outside in the patio uncovered, in the open for all those years and rust finally started to appear. So I bought a new Weber 18-1/2" grill. I was disappointed though that the new grill is not as well made as my older grill. The material is much thinner gauge, the enamel finish has thin spots and the lid has very sharp edge around the open end that will cut your skin.
Summary: First the good. I love the looks of this grill. It is sleek, styling and iconic and I enjoy seeing it on my porch. - It is much more attractive than one of those monstrous gas grills. - It seals very tightly. - Its simple style allows you to cook many different meats in many different ways. - There are so many accessories available for it and they are easy to find. Now the bad.
Summary: After ordering the Weber Grill, i was happy with the amount of time it took for the grill to get here, eve with the free shipping. Grill was damaged when received, one of the legs had been bent in the box. Amazon customer service was very helpful and gave me a partial refund on the damaged grill which i took and was able to replace the leg.
After ten years with my Weber Kettle, it's time for a new grill.

Summary: I bought this grill to use on the balcony of my apartment ten years ago and took it with me, when I moved six years ago, to the patio of my house. Frankly, it's a kettle grill with no frills. The one-touch cleaning system thing is a crock, but that's all right. It's a grill - you gotta clean it. It's gonna be messy. Ten years later, and this grill is going strong and, let me say, mine has been very badly mistreated. I've NEVER brought it inside.
Summary: I opted for the silver instead of the gold and I'm glad I did. My brother-in-law has the gold and, while the coal catcher is nice, it is certainly not worth the additional $70. The only other difference between the two is the hinged grate which can easily be added for around $20. I highly recommend registering your new grill with Weber by following the instructions included with the grill.
Summary: My husband and I bought this as a Christmas gift for my daughter and son-in-law. They have used it once to have friends over. My son-in-law said it was very easy to put together and it worked great for their dinner party. I certainly couldn't find a better deal anywhere else!
Summary: [...] The grill has some wobbly legs and a lid handle that gets very hot but you can overlook that compared to the quality of the rest of the grill. If not for the legs and handle I would have given it five stars. Overall this is a good buy.
Summary: Don't purchase the cast iron grates. They tend to rust, must be 'prepared' for use, and food sticks. I've just gotten the porcelain coated iron grates and they do seem better. I've heard that stainless grates are available, but have not been able to find them locally. The fact that replacement parts are readily available for this unit is a big plus. I've owned several other grills, and when parts fail, I've usually had to buy generic replacements.
