Summary: While I am happy with this purchase in general, I find it has a major flaw that could be a safety concern to some. The unit needs a separate on/off switch. The turn knob should just regulate the temperature. I find myself un-plugging the grill from the outlet to make sure it does not turn on accidentaly.
Summary: I used it for the first time last night to cook a rib eye steak in my bedroom because I'm handicapped and have a hard time walking to the kitchen. It grilled the steak just fine but it set off the smoke alarm. When set to "high", it will take about 10 minutes to reach that temperature before the green light (ready) comes on. Although it says dishwasher safe, you will still have to do some scrubbing of the grill plates (at least after grilling my steak).
Summary: We did a lot of research on grills and wanted something that was fairly large and that would last several years. Many reviewers have noted that the grill does not really get hot enough; It is true. In addition, the color that was shipped was incorrect but that is a miner issue. The big one is that the grill came with part of the case casting broken off.
Summary: This is my first counter top grill and I have gone through a little bit learning curve with it. I can tell you that you will not have any trouble with drain holes plugging up on this unit as seems to be the problems with some other brands as there is a spout in the corner of each plate to drain whatever needs to be drained. The unit comes with two cups to catch this. You will need both if you use the unit flat.
Summary: Certainly nicer than most panini grills, however, the plates are NOT CAST IRON. In my opinion, the plates are the most important part of the grill because that is what touches the food. They might be aluminum, but are too light to be cast iron. Aluminum, although better than the Teflon nonstick stuff, still has been linked to possible adverse health effects. If it were cast iron as posted, this would be a five star review but because they are not, I sent it back.
Summary: The grill is described as being brushed stainless steel. The grill shown in the item description is stainless steel in color. However, the grill is actually RED. From what I understand, the stainless version has been discontinued and is not available.
Summary: We just made panini's for the first time this evening and they were beyond amazing! I used to think the club panini at Corner Bakery was the best around, but this was hands down a lot better! We even made it with "lower-fat" ingredients and it still came out better. We cooked 2 at a time and they both were cooked in about 6 minutes on medium heat. They were both very evenly toasted and thoroughly heated through.
Summary: I've owned three George Foreman Grillers, & each succeeding one seemed to get a bit worse in quality than the previous one, although each was more expensive than the prior one. The last one I owned was a George Foreman Next Grilleration 4-Burger Grills with Removable Plates George Foreman GRP4 Next Grilleration 72 Square Inch White Removable Plate Grill .
Excellent griddle so far. Better than George Foreman & others.

Summary: The gridle has worked very well so far. It has cooked the foods well, hot dogs, hamburgers, steaks & grilled sandwiches. It cleans up easily with just a damp cloth. You do not need to take the plates out. It is designed well to properly fit over the different thickness of the food. This was a problem with the George Foreman. The only problem we have encountered is the top, not the handle, gets very hot. We like the temperature control feature.
Summary: I am very pleased with this grill! First of all, delivery of this product was so fast, it was delivered within a few days way ahead of the estimated date. After owning 3 George Foreman grills in the past with much success, I went to Walmart to purchase a new one expecting the same quality as before, in what supposed to have been top of the line. However, the new Foreman grill quit working after only 1 use!
