Not Easy

Virginia Sparks, Amazon
16 April 2014
  • Summary: I've prepared two sets of steaks with the probe, unfortunately they haven't come out according to medium rare, when it's time the steak has pink in the middle, but by the time the steak cools it's brown inside and out. Maybe operator error, but it's not easy to hit it right, maybe next time.

An indoor grill with a temperature probe makes this purchase well worth it!

NoTW[NotofThisWorld], Amazon
7 February 2014
  • Summary: Firstly, the grill came nicely packaged in its original factory packaging and Amazon also packaged it well. After setting the grill up and reading the instructions I decided to cook marinated boneless chicken breasts for our lunch today. When the grill was preheated I put the meat on it and stuck the probe inside one breast. I cooked the meat one way for about 7 minutes, then turned it 90 degrees to get even cooking coverage for another 10.

Best thing ever

Ug "Sara", Amazon
5 January 2014
  • Summary: My ex was a review checker....he bought this for himself and always made yummy dinners from then on. He was the kind of guy who couldn't cook even if it his relationship depended on it. Well, that's it. this is an "man" proof appliance. So when my brother had no kitchen I got this for his birthday. He wasn't sure what to do with it but once he tried it he never cooked on anything but on this...even thought now he has a kitchen.

You should get one

Pilot, Amazon
3 January 2013
  • Summary: Been loving this grill since I bought it a few months back. When the timer tells you its done your meat is nice and juicy, I love the probe. It cleans fairly easily and doesn't take up much space. My only concern is the hinge on the left side in the rear, it appears to be smoking at times and when you look at it there's something lightly dripping on it. There's no smell like plastic burning so I guess it might not be a problem.

Decent

Telstar, Amazon
14 May 2012
  • Summary: The probe works well. The grill is pedestrian...do not put a steak with a bone in it....it will come out grey. The probe minimum setting is 140 .. for a steak, this is too hot ... you need to let it rest, so this minimum setting is too high.

Does What it Says

Mitchell Gordon, Amazon
3 May 2012
  • Summary: Transaction was smooth and delivery was quick. The grill is very useful in preparing small meals. The removeable plates work as advertised and really make clean-up easy. Some things that were a little disappointing: 1. The grill max temperature is 425. I was expecting a higher max as I like to grill meat rare with a crispy crust. The 425 leaves the crust a little soft when I cook to rare. 2.

Hamilton Beach....ed whale!

M. Robinson, Amazon
9 April 2012
  • Summary: Yes, I sometimes feel like a beached whale after over-using my new Hamilton Beach set and forget grill! Awesome is too cliche' a word to describe this little guy. In fact, the only things that prevents an autonomic 5 star response from overpowering conscious control of my digits, are the rather reasonable complaints that the grill continues to cook after the probe temperature is reached, and the anemic, cheap Casio watch sounding alarm which often fails to adequately...
