Worst Purchase Ever

Andrew Meredith, Amazon
21 September 2013
  • Summary: I had an older model without the removable plates which I loved and use on an almost daily basis, it was quite old and the non - stick surface had warn badly so I decided to replace it with a new posher one. 1. The power cord is too short. 2. Removable plates are loose fitting causing poor heat transfer. 3. When "ready" the cooking temperature is not high enough to seal meat. 4. Due to low cooking temperature the meat takes too long to cook so it is even drier. 5.

Forman grill

JOANNE, Amazon
20 May 2013
  • Summary: If it had a bleep system to let you know when it was hot enough it would be perfect but I find I have to keep watching for light which is awkward when your cooking other things at same time.

Review of George Foreman

EL-S, Amazon
12 April 2013
  • Summary: Unfortunately this does cook items much slower than the Foreman with fixed plates, so you have to trade off less washing up for longer cookign times.

Below standard

Robert Heaney, Amazon
12 March 2013
  • Summary: Having previously owned two different versions of George Foremans' I am somewhat disgruntled with this latest aquisition. It is very femur and does not function as expected in that it takes forever to cook anything. The removable plates are loose and unsecure and difficult to relocate once detached.Have hardly used item since purchase in early January '13.Should have returned but missed 30 day deadline. Very poor quality!!

  • Summary: With the removeable plates makes cleaning very quick and more likely to use it more often. A very healthy asset in the kitchen.

What a disappointment

Les D, Amazon
23 January 2013
  • Summary: I spent hours agonising over which model to buy, opting in the end for a removable grill model (to make it easier to clean). Then of course, having ordered it, there was the build up of excitement waiting for it to be delivered. (Oh come on mr Postman, can't you go any faster, I want my grill) Can you imagine my delight when it arrived 2 days earlier than I expected. Gosh, the tears of joy and excitement nearly ran down my leg (am I allowed to say that?

Not impressed

wendy shelbourn, Amazon
21 January 2013
  • Summary: Arrived early but I'm not impressed with the product, the removable plates are fiddly to get in and it doesn't get as hot as I imagined, steak seems to steam rather than sizzle!

George Forman 14066 (3 portion) Removaeable Plates Grill

John D. Brown "history buff", Amazon
3 August 2012
  • Summary: I originally had a George Forman Grill and thought that the removeable grill plates would be an improvement in the design. However, I found that the upper plate had a habit of dislodging when being replaced after cleaning and this could prove dangerous. The locking mechanism needs to be improved.

  • Summary: This is the fourth George Foreman grill I have owned and by far the WORST, it takes an eternity to cook anything; avoid at all costs as it does NOT do what it says on the tin!
