Excerpt: With the Cuisinart Sandwich Grill (WM-SW2) marked at a price of $19.99, we get a super deal at a whooping price. I got it at a super deal @ $15 ( Can you believe it ??),as I bought it from the Bed, Bath & Beyond store.
Summary: I bought this to make all kinds of grilled sandwiches, starting with just simple Grilled Cheese. The very first day it arrived on my porch, I put it to work in my kitchen. I made 1 grilled cheese, with just 2 slices of cheese. The cheese went EVERYWHERE!! It leaked out of the grill, all down the sides & back. I thought it was just me & maybe 2 slices of cheese was too much. So I tried just 1 slice & the exact same thing happened!
Cuisinart WM-SW2: This Grill is what you want in sandwich preparation
1 July 2013
Summary: This Grill is what you want in sandwich preparation. It delivers all its promises and I can tell you that I was satisfied in the its performance. The all-brown toast sandwich pre-filled with scrambled eggs and sardines came out sealed and ready-to-pack for work. All I did was to put the two slices of the toast and the filler sandwiched in-between and closed the lid. The GREEN LIGHT CAME TWICE and the meal was packed.
Summary: Great product! Use it all the time. The nonstic surface really works. Although hot plate can not be removed for cleaning, the plates nonstick surface allows you to clean with a paper towel or moist rag with no effort. Surface heats up fairly quick. The lock mechanism on the handle allows your sandwich to get an even crisp bread texture, with completely melted cheese on the inside that does not break through the bread. Over all great product!
Summary: This is a cool grill for sandwiches and omelets, but I wouldn't pay more than $10 for it. I really only use it for eggs with onions, bell peppers, and cheese, but it makes the eggs on the outside kind of hard.
Summary: I thought this grill would be great for making hot and crusty sandwiches. I was wrong, it may be just the one I got but this is a piece of junk. The grill would never brown the bread till it was nice and crusty or cook your stuff in the middle. It seemed to get worse every time I used it. Finally it would not heat up at all. The lights would come on but it would not get hot, no matter how long you waited. I gave it one star because I couldn't give less. Don't buy it.
Summary: Cuisinart used to be associated with quality but it seems those days are gone. Our griller worked great till the second time we used it and the plastic clips holding the top plate stopped working. Now we are expected to pay to ship it back to the man ... ufacturer as well as pay shipping on the replacement unit which will still have the same basic design flaw. No thanks!!!
