  • Summary: Final Thoughts So what can we take out of this review? Obviously from the tests the GeForce GTX 580 performs 5-15% better than the GTX 480, but what else has changed? The Fermi GF110 GPU is really what the GF100 should have been.

  • Excerpt: The GTX 480 packed a lot of punch but it wasn’t too exciting. It ran very hot, hogged power and sounded like a hair dryer at full load. Nvidia has ironed out these issues with the GTX 580 which is based on the new GF110 architecture.
