Summary: I have seen a lot of complaints about the card over heating, I don't know if they are overclocking it more then it already is overclocked but my card never goes above 75 degrees celsius. I have the evga precision x software and turn my fan up to 75% speed.
Pros: Runs any game that I have with no problems. Fits inside my micro atx case (Barely), just misses where my hard drive is sitting.
Cons: Much longer then the 550. the hdmi to vga adapter they sent was bad, I just bought an hdmi cord and it worked out. No big problem
Summary: I run a mid tower with fans (no water cooling) and I stay in the mid 40 C. SLI was a breeze and still no heat, mebe you guys are having problems with hot cases. I played with overclocking (underclocking too) and really the setup that it comes with wont be noticeably better.
Pros: Cheap enuff to SLI, works great, no real fiddling aside from keeping up with NVIDIA drivers.
Summary: It cracks me up to read these guys "under volting" the card. I would recommend discounting those reviews in their entirety if considering a purchase of this card. The components are engineered to work at the temperatures along with the design of the heat sink/fan.
Pros: Easy to install, drivers readily available, kicks but - scores 14,774 on 3d mark06, 7.8 windows 7 64bit experience index. Excellent bang for the buck ratio, esp with the $30 rebate. I have found NVidia to give more GPU/1$ than AMD.
Summary: This card is amazing! Major upgrade from my old one. Still has me jaw droppped. My girlfriend bought me this for my birrthday and it was the best gift i got! It even brings a copy of assassin's creed brotherhood!
Pros: Where do i begin?! -Nice looking! -Runs just about every game out there without a hiccup! -Quiet! -7.5 W.I.R. -Assassin's Creed Brotherhood!
Cons: -Not much room for overclocking capabilities than what it already is. -CD doesn't come with updated drivers.
Pros: My card seems to be working great. I have run it for over 20 hours without any issues what-so-ever. Does not even come close to overheating.
Cons: The power connectors come out the side of the card, which is odd and makes it difficult to avoid the video card case fan inside the Phantom 410 case by NZXT. ...but once you get it all sorted you have a nice cool video card.
Summary: I just got the card up and running. Fast shipping and packaged well. The card seems to run everything I throw at it. I was however pretty upset that when the cover art shows it coming with Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, the promo code is already past it's expiration date!!
Summary: I can play BF3 on ultra on a 1280x1024 at ~50 fps. I did some messing with the bios and can get 95% fan speed and 1.175v for 1000Mhz and get 79C after 1m 40s of 100% load with a case temp of 30C.
Pros: -Fast -Doesn't get to hot for normal play at 60 fps -Best price for performance
Cons: It can get hot under a 100% load since the limits at 75% and the voltage is so high, but 560 ti's and rated at a max temp of 100C so I don't worry about temps until they hit 90C. Not worth tasking off an egg.
