Perfect for a Studio/Music PC

Gabriel F. Dixon, Amazon
24 April 2014
  • Summary: After alot of research regarding video cards for my custom build music pc, I chose this one. It works perfect as there are no fans on this unit but rather a huge heatsink. Be sure and realize that this takes up two slots but it is well worth it.

Aero Support from a PCI Slot

bnb, Amazon
12 July 2013
  • Summary: Works for what I bought it for! PCI slot support with Aero effects, directx 11 and multimonitor support. Plug and Play with my older Dell Dimension 3000 running Windows 7 SP1. If you're looking to play newer games at high settings, don't bother with this.

Awesome PCI Card

William S., Newegg
5 September 2012
  • Summary: I don't know why everyone says you need a 300 or even 250 watt power supply - I installed this in an IBM ThinkCentre S50 with 200 watt power supply and it works no problem. I have played Civilization 5 for hours and ran benchmarks (heaven and 3dmark) without any power issue - and the S50's have a...

  • Pros: Cheap 1GB Card Plays games decently at medium settings

Ideal for certain niches

Thomas K., Newegg
31 May 2012
  • Summary: Some possible uses: Great for an HTPC. Silent, low power, excellent video playback, HDMI. Very good dedicated Physx card, especially if you're out of PCIe slots. Now you can have dual SLI cards AND a Physx card in a PCI slot. These are popular with the BOINC/Folding crowd.
  • Pros: Fastest PCI card that I know of. CUDA Physx Passive cooling - quiet Low power (no external connection) DVI, VGA, HDMI outputs
  • Cons: This is very much a niche product. Outside these niches it's just an average video card.

Great Lo-Pro Card

Sharon W., Newegg
23 May 2012
  • Summary: Overall great video card. I gave it 5/5 because it is leaps and bounds over my DDR2 card.
  • Pros: This is a great video card for those with low-profile computers. I upgraded from an ATI HD 4350 with 1GB DDR2 and my Windows Experience Index jumped from a 3.2 to a 5.9 on the Graphics level. I play FSX with a consistant 35 fps with everything maxed out. Counter-Strike is smooth as a baby's botto...
  • Cons: The height ~3" (see specs for specific height), it a bit too tall if your PCI-e x16 is at the top of the mobo like mine is. I had to take the shroud and fan off to clear the case, so I'm going to have to drill a hole in my case to put the fan back on. A couple of video-savvy friend report the Fer...
