Missed this time.

Grilled Bear, Amazon
8 May 2012
  • Summary: No doubt that it would have worked for anyone else, it just didn't work for me. I had it in a CUDA machine and it couldn't complete tasks on BOINC. Lots of people run these cards and get them to work, but with 295.48 and 6.10.60 it wasn't for me. I'll try again later.

Not very good

Haidong X., Newegg
6 February 2012
  • Summary: BTW, I never receive the $30 rebate, which makes this brand worse.
  • Pros: Good for some 3D games, like Warcraft 3.
  • Cons: Not good for some new games like Skyrim. The hardware looks very cheap, especially the cooling fan that is like a one from a dollar shop.

Don't expect Zotac to process your rebate

Anonymous, Newegg
5 February 2012
  • Pros: My monitor shows pretty pictures. Seems fine but I don't use it for games or anything high end.
  • Cons: I purchased my card (GT 430 - may be slightly older model than this one) months ago. Never received mail in rebate or any other correspondence from Zotac. I recommend only purchasing Zotac products if you think the full advertized price is fair.

Nice card. Rebate is a scam.

Janos H., Newegg
23 November 2011
  • Summary: Like most everyone else, bought it for a HTPC build. H.264 offload works perfectly : CPU is nearly idle during playback.
  • Pros: Quiet, fast, perfect Linux support.
  • Cons: Rebate is a scam. 2 months later still nothing. Would have been a 5 star otherwise.

Update-Worthy with flaws

Joseph S., Newegg
28 September 2011
  • Summary: After over a month of waiting for my "expedited" rebate, I checked the status on their site only to find out they claimed it was invalid. Took over a week of not returning my emails and threatening action to get my rebate.
  • Pros: Card is great
  • Cons: Zotac will try to deny you the rebate even if you send the correct documentation.

Fanless graphics card

H.L., Amazon
14 April 2011
  • Summary: Beware HTPC users. This card may lose HDMI audio now and then after 3 months of use. I tried upgrading drives, replacing HDMI cables. Nothing worked short of a reboot. Technical support was useless. I seriously felt like the next question they were going to ask me would be "Is your TV on?

Good performance, poor design

Henry H., Newegg
14 December 2010
  • Pros: Good performance to price ratio. Bumped Win 7 graphics from 4.6/5.3 to 6.6/6.6 on my Phenom II 3 GHz quad core desktop. Relatively quiet fan.
  • Cons: Poor design. First, in a low profile install, the d-sub connector bracket must go in the slot to the left/above the card. The heatsink/fan shroud blocks its use on the other side. Next, the d-sub connector cannot be removed without removing the heatsink/fan shroud and this entails removing four t...

Noisy Fan and No 3rd Monitor Support

Nelson, Amazon
24 October 2010
  • Summary: This review is merely a comparison between this card and the on the fan noise and 3rd monitor support. The fan on my AMD Radeon HD 6870 graphics card has developed a high pitched whine noise. Before I could send it in for repair, I needed an emergency backup card so I bought this.

What to say...

Steve Bowman, Amazon
23 October 2010
  • Summary: I had an internal TV card with 4 Tuners in my PC and there wasn't enough room for a PCI-E graphics card, so, because this card has HDMI, I thought I would try this card in one of the PCI slots.
