Summary: I bought one of these cards back when they launched, and back then they were offered with a lifetime warranty. The card lasted me over 2 years, and then started artifacting severely. I contacted Zotac for an RMA, and they informed me that my 2 year warranty was up.
Pros: The card worked for a while. Excellent Cooler.
Cons: Zotac will do ANYTHING to weasel out of a warranty!
Summary: This is after my initial review.. After almost a year this card is still a beast, there's nothing it can't tame. That being said the problem in my initial review was from multiple drivers; after talking to Zotac (which @ the time had its support in the us - which is nice) I discovered windows was...
Pros: Very fast, Mass Effect 2, Crysis, Total War, WoW, all play on very high setting no problem, still whisper quiet. Crysis gets about 130 fps, WoW anywhere from 100 - 210 (full raid settings with everything happening i typically get about 130-160 fps. Fans still @ 70% still can't hear them, under-lo...
Cons: Keeping it clean, I am a fanatic for making sure my pc stays pretty dust free, I have close to $2k in it in the last 2 years through Newegg. With such a great cooler, dust tends to cling to it after a month.
Summary: I'm thinking of picking up another one for SLI specs: NZXT Zero case (that means it has 7 120mm fans for that don't know this case) 1000watt X3 ultra PSU OLD BUILD: Q6600 @3.2 GHz Xfx 780i ultra OCZ DDR2 Reapers @1066 MHz NEW Build: Intel Core i-5 2500K @ 4.6 GHZ MSI P67 OCZ DDR3 spec ops edition...
Pros: As of right now I have it overclocked to 820 MHz on the GPU and 1782 MHz on the RAM on only a 1.087 v to the card. I have never seen the thing go above 65 C witht he fan set to 65% and I can't hear it at all and i sit about 2 feet away with nothing in between me and my computer.
Cons: I did have to RMA the first one since the screen would turn purple/blue when ever it felt like it but no problems now.
Summary: I am not a technical person. I buy things and expect them to work well at default settings. I had a Radeon HD5770, which is a very decent card. Playing SC2 at Ultimate graphics setting is beautiful. However, the card overheated in just a few hours of play.
Summary: I have it matched with a q9650 @ 4.0Ghz, and it benched 16k easy in 3dmark vantage. Has potential to be overclocked more, but i don't see the need. If you are considering getting a GTX 480 or a HD 5870, you might want to think about this.
Pros: Looks sharp, what an awesome design for a fan and heatsink(props to zalman). Runs games at phenominal fps, even metro and crysis warhead maxed out. Rock solid stable, they did a great job with the factory overclock. I've beat the living daylights out of it, and it hasn't gone over 65c. It's about...
Cons: Too quiet! How can i tell if my computer is on?! ;-)
