Summary: The dead thing can happen to anything, I've been a computer support engineer for over 20 years. This was the first time for me with an XFX product ever. Hopefully their warranty service is up to par with their products.
Pros: Build from a premier manufacturer. Very fast and handles anything I've thrown at it with relative ease. Overclocking is not needed for me nor is crossfire... yet! Industrial look rather than a bunch of flashy led's.
Cons: Died just short of 1 year old. Swore I registered it... But it doesn't show up in there records. How then was I able to download the free games I received with it? One being bioshock which wasn't even out yet! Could be me though I have so many accounts but wouldn't the serial number tell all? Wel...
Cons: Temperature goes up very high at times to the point where the card smells hot and you can smell it outside the case. Heard that can be corrected by reapplying the heat paste, but who wants to void their warranty?
Pros: Card works great BF4 playing very smoothly but the software downloading was a pain! I wish AMD would get their act together on their software. Not very user friendly! Only 4 stars because of AMDs software.
Summary: It's not a bad card and those who think that the heat sink and fan cooler is too small or not good enough, are living in the past. The "Ghost" Technology works quite well.
Pros: Runs all my games on MAX (Ultra) settings without a hitch. The price is great (after the discount) and for a card with only one fan, it runs cool enough with very little noise. Only reached 80 degrees C with FurMark, which is acceptable since FurMark maxes out the card. There is no game in existe...
Cons: The nly problem is a slight odd anomaly when I am checking out FaceBook. There are black and white checkers on the available for chat section which goes away as soon as I scroll it up or down. I find it more amusing than annoying.
Summary: This is to update on my review from 5/19/2013. I finally got RMA, sent it back, and received a replacement card today. It took a while (> 3 weeks, but XFX came through and I am a happy camper).
Summary: Aside from the fact that I haven't received everything promised the card has been great. I really enjoy the power and the fidelity it provides.
Pros: While reading a lot of the reviews I almost chose not to go with this card because of the temperature issues. However, since receiving this card, its not gone beyond 70c which is not bad. Especially when running games at full settings. I'm surprised at how much of an improvement this card has bee...
Cons: The card runs fine. However, I'm slightly upset that I have not received my code for Bioshock yet. I've emailed, called Newegg, and called AMD twice. Yet no code. Not a mark on the card, but the promo isn't fully delivered on.
Summary: I purchased 2 of these cards to mine litecoins and have been working them pretty hard. Side-by-side they run 100% 24/7 and their temps rarely go past 81 deg C. To achieve this I had to put a box fan blowing toward the cards (set to low speed) and another 6" Thermaltake exhaust fan operating at...
Pros: Clocked at 900Mhz out of the box Memory at 1250 default Good-looking card A real workhorse Bought two cards and both have been rock solid reliable
