Summary: The card itself is great, but I had to return the first one as it was DOA - black screen on a fresh install of windows on an SSD I purchased along with this. 2nd card appears to be working fine (about a week as of this posting) and it runs cooler than than the enclosed single fan 6850 I replaced it with. Not overclocking on either card. No comment on fan noise - I play with headphones.
Summary: I got this card about 2 months ago and it has been running great. I have not OC'd yet, so I cannot comment on that. But it runs fairly cool and is quiet when you are fiddling around. When the GPU load gets high (gaming) it gets kinda loud. Not terrible, but noticeable. I game with headphones, so it is a minor issue. Great card so far.
Summary: UPDATE: After other issues forced an operating system refresh, Catalyst was able to install without problems and the card is functioning well. Have updated rating from 3 to 4 stars. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I ordered this card as an upgrade from an XFX HD 5850 stock edition. The old card still worked fine, but had developed some fan noise issues and decided it was time to upgrade rather than pursue a warranty replacement.
Summary: Works well, but all the multiple port stuff for monitors seem to not work as advertised. Basically after talking with them one of three monitors had to be a regular DVI connection then all three monitors worked. But overall performance has been pretty flawless plays everything at high rates. Only draw backs is that it is loud (fan) and big. Make sure you have the space.
Summary: The performance is great and the card itself is beautiful. I'm not a big fan of over clocking cards myself so one that's already over clocked and tested is a nice feature. My only concern is the cooling solution. The single fan gets pretty loud and the card will run around 80 degrees during taxing gaming. However, I was running eyefinity across 3, 19 inch monitors on a single card before I purchased my second. An extra side case fan has helped some with the heat.
Summary: I bought this card about 6 mos ago for 435.. somthing and wanted to add another later for xfire. I shopped 1 week ago and this card is 537?. I did a little research and I bought the "core" 7950 version for 399. Instantly overclocked it to 900 = 1400 It runs fine in xfire no problem, saved 137!! The fans are noisy though. I can hear them through my headphones when Im playing bf3 at Ultra everything getting 140 to 170 fps!!!
Summary: This card is great !! It handles everything max out at 1080. The card is quiet and looks great on my HAF X. Pros: -XFX support is excellent. -Very Quiet -Easy OC (in case you want more :P) Cons: -Not a con actually, but at least mine has an annoying coil whine sound.
Summary: I bought this card as an upgrade to my 8800 GT, I'd researched graphics cards in this price range and due to the 7950's exceptional overclocking ability I'd selected this XFX model which comes pre-overclocked. This card runs all of my current games on MAX/ULTRA (40fps in BF3) and I'm hoping for improvements from further overclocking and driver improvements.
