Don't count on that warranty
16 November 2015
Summary: Only reason i paid more and purchased a xfx card was because of the "lifetime warranty". What a disappointment, xfx support has been useless to me. -2 eggs just for xfx support. "If a card is 2 years old we require original receipt"..
Pros: I've owned this card for almost 4 years now. It has ram almost flawless.
Cons: Fans will start to whine, it took me 6 months to get xfx support to replace them. Now my card is finally failing, red lines/blocks across screen. Xfx support wants me to send them the original receipt before they will RMA the card.. Of course i don't have the original receipt, so that "Lifetime w...
Summary: its discontinued on newegg... really neat card though, it would look good in crossfire if it werent for the cooling on it comes with a crossfire cable and a Do not disturb, im gaming door handle thingy
Pros: - total beast of a card even at stock clocks - came with 2 games that were released soon after i bought it - very long warranty, 5 years i believe - AMD (you cant go wrong, the drivers are much better now and I like it more than my old 560ti) - I read another review that had a manufacturer respon...
Cons: - loud as hell, and its sitting beside my desk on the ground and i use headphones - runs WAYYY too hot, like I remember looking up the maximum temps for the core and its around 95ish degrees celcius. It just hit 90c in sleeping dogs not too long ago so I'm a little worried that its defective... -...
Pros: Looks sleek and runs well when it is functional. Performance is so close to a 7970 that it's hard to tell the difference in games.
Cons: Card started having major artifacting after just one gaming session with it. I was forced to switch to my back up GPU to get back into windows without the screen turning into a menagerie of pixels. Hopefully my ticket will get answered soon on getting it RMAed. (Ticket number T1311140043 if someo...
Pros: Very good card for the price, can't complain.
Cons: I've had the card since June last year and it has powered many a game. Lately it's been having an issue when the fan speed is < 30%. It sounds like dubstep is coming from the fan as it tries to stay going at that low an RPM. I've resorted to installing some fan curve control software to keep the ...
Pros: The card is fast, especially when you look at raw number-crunching performance. Ran all my games fairly well at 2560x1440 on full settings.
Cons: Unfortunately, games just weren't as smooth as I expected them to be. Games like Far Cry 3 and Borderlands 2 stuttered pretty badly at times. The card is also really LOUD and runs really hot. I wanted to overclock it but the fan was on 50-80% as-is during gaming, and it was heating up my room rea...
Pros: Been using this card from a year, been working great in the first part of that time. It didn't give me any problems while gaming, nor did the drivers. It handles all the games I play very good, I haven't used the HDMI 5.1 audio as I don't need it.
Cons: The major issue is the fact that the card over heat, I don't have any thing in the front of the graphics card, so air can still get to it. But I been fighting it heat issue for a while now. Also one of the fans started to make noise, I don't know which one it is, but I hear it when ever I play a ...
Summary: I filed a ticket to find out how I can go about having the card fixed today. I will update how the ticket gets resolved and how timely the process is. I have heard bad things about XFX support here, but I hope they have got their acts together by now.
Pros: It worked well while the fan lasted. Rebate made the price competitive.
Cons: Both fans failed after about 10 months of use.
Summary: would have given 5eggs, but two rma in a row was too much
Pros: the card overclocks incredibly well. I have two im running in crossfire liquid cooled. great frame rates
Cons: when i ordered each of my two cards both shipped doa and had to rma the first one and im about to rma the 2nd when newegg opens tomoro. bit frustrating, this card if you get a good chip and not a dud is amazing but if you do get a dud it will iether cause a strobe effect on the screen or wont ove...
Summary: Subtracted an egg because a piece broke off out the box. Subtracted another egg because xfx support and warranty is now abysmal. what happend to you xfx...? their support page looks like something from the 90's using geocities and provides little to no information.
Pros: Card works great, everything on max settings @ at least 60fps 90 percent of the time Quiet on Idle. not too loud under load OKAY cooling... (pretty much the same temp as my xfx 5870 with a single fan) nothing to be excited about
Cons: cooling fins on the inside are a bit flimsy... i had a tiny piece that acts as a clip break off, but it doesn't have any affect on the card performance so i left it alone. xfx support isn't what it use to be.
