Chris L., Newegg
16 February 2015
  • Summary: im hoping i can change this to a better review. the eggs really go to the cs department for their flawless efforts in keeping me a satisfied customer. although after 4 full builds and countless upgrades i guess i was due for a failed item though my asus hd 4350 i used to check my MB ran better than...
  • Pros: The only pros so far is from newegg and their cs department i have a rma on this product and they took care of me without any effort on my part
  • Cons: Failed. after install and first fireup on my build the card ran good after afew minutes it got really hot and then my screen was grainy and my bios bootup had a series of inch wide vertical blue stripes. windows looked horrible a very dismal 16bit color.

Not a good option for Linux based XBMC builds.

D. Raines, Amazon
13 December 2014
  • Summary: I purchased this to replace a Radeon 5670 in my HTPC. It worked but I am running OpenElec XBMC and it would not pass through HD audio stream to my receiver. My previous card would do it once and then hang up. It would appear ATI Radeon cards don't like to play with Linux and HD audio.

Snausage, Amazon
18 December 2013
  • Summary: Windows Experience index went down to 4.2 for Aero Desktop Graphics when replacing an older NVidia GT240. Not sure if its me or the card. Overall I notice no improvement or degradation in my HTPC.

wouldn't buy

gelO,, TigerDirect.com
17 December 2013
  • Summary: I bought this card because it is quite as there is no fan and it has 2GB RAM. After installing and configuring discovered that video on my i5 is choppy and colors are not real. I put my old 256MB 4650 card back and no issues. Going to return it back to TD.

Would not configure in a new HP Z220 Workstation

Linda N Lane, Amazon
11 December 2013
  • Summary: Would not configure in a new HP Z220 Workstation. I am an IT professional and spent over an hour and a half trying to get it to work on more than one monitor. There is no technical support for this hardware. Very disappointing. The item I got to replace it worked flawlessly.

really weak

Kyle C., Newegg
31 January 2013
  • Summary: hella weak.
  • Pros: you can play games made 8 years ago on medium graphics settings
  • Cons: with the benchmark i get 2 fps and my processor is not the problem (AMD FX-6100) every game with today's standards like far cry 3, battlefield 3, or planetside 2 are nearly unplayable on the lowest graphics setting. watching a movie on my 1080p tv causes the video to look kind of not shaded corre...

Not so "Low Profile Ready"

Jon O., Newegg
8 March 2012
  • Summary: I called XFX so see if I could get some relief, and the limited US staff is entirely powerless when it comes to customer service.
  • Pros: Inexpensive.
  • Cons: This card was bought to install in a low profile case, but that proved impossible to do because: 1) It only game with one low profile bracket, so it's not possible to mount the VGA port with the stock kit. 2) The DVI port is *digital only*, so you cannot use a DVI-A adapter. 3) The cable that con...
