Summary: Running with a gen 3 i5 core and this baby, I can play most games on high settings now, which is exactly what I bought it for. Editing high-res paintings in photoshop no longer lags the s*** out of my poor computer, and I can have my media player open on the side to watch shows as I work. (I upgraded to a GeForce GTX 6600 not too long after this, because I wanted to stream/record while I game in 720p.
Summary: Meh... if you think you might like to have a 3D graphics card, get something else. The card is OK. However, this card is very bulky. If it isn't connected 100% in place, it will cause OS blue screens.
Summary: This item was posted " Like New" some dust was listed as a minor problem. Upon its arrival I promptly removed all the dust via compressed air. I downloaded the most recent drivers as well as the latest version of catalyst control. I set everything up properly and to my demise the fan is total garbage. It gets to 60°c (140°F) and shuts down any game I attempt to play. I checked the catalyst to see my fan runs at 36% at its best.
Summary: I purchased this graphics card in April of 2011 in order to upgrade my existing decent HP PC that I had. I purchased this card, upgraded my power supply, and was up and running. The card is large, so hopefully you have a mid or large sized case ready for this guy since you don't want heat to be too much of an issue. I can run most games at medium to high settings and they all look great and run smooth.
Summary: Card has been working perfect. It is a large card so be ready to sacrifice some of your PCI slots. In a mini tower with a mini mother board I was left with only 1 PCI slot free out of 4 slots. Just enough for my ethernet card to slide in. This was the only downside for me. Awesome design, but as big as a Cadillac.
