Summary: I was so excited that i ran to installed it on my mac, but guess what... this is a pc card, it is not for mac so i couldnt install it on my mac why? - it doesnt have the power cable for mac video cards. - even though i had updated my osx it still didnt recognized it so i started researching since i knew that at least the model was compatible, now what i had to do to make the story short was update the bios of the video card.
Summary: Running with a gen 3 i5 core and this baby, I can play most games on high settings now, which is exactly what I bought it for. Editing high-res paintings in photoshop no longer lags the s*** out of my poor computer, and I can have my media player open on the side to watch shows as I work. (I upgraded to a GeForce GTX 6600 not too long after this, because I wanted to stream/record while I game in 720p.
Summary: Meh... if you think you might like to have a 3D graphics card, get something else. The card is OK. However, this card is very bulky. If it isn't connected 100% in place, it will cause OS blue screens.
Summary: I have owned and installed 11 video cards and ATI still is my favorite. I have 2 of these crossfired in my PC with EYEFINITY set up and WOW! am i spoiled! ARMA, Battlefield, Modern Warfare 2,3,4, DCS A10 Warthog, CRYSIS 2, all settings MAXED out with 3 screens! And I havent even touched the overclocking yet...
