Summary: This board does have the big advantage of not having a fan, so a big failure mode is off the table. The big disadvantage of the card is that it does not support the standard high definition resolution of 1920 by 1080. The best it will do is 1400 by 1080, so you are not going to get the most out of any recent LCD monitor. I do not know what the "HD" in HD 5450 means, but it does NOT mean high definition.
Summary: I see some people are saying that they have had problems with this card. I haven't had a problem SINCE I had the card. I ordered it last year, and it's still running like it was when I first installed it. I'm not a hardcore gamer, so this card is perfect for my needs. An example of a game that I play would be Minecraft. Runs very smoothly with High FPS. My system is currently running 3GB DDR2,Intel Pentium Dual E2220 2.1GHz, and the XFX 1GB graphics.
Summary: Card will not work on my computer even after I cleared out all other video drivers and reset the Bios(Pulled the Battery to reset to 2004 settings).I have a weaker comp with the same slot. There I can get a picture, but the resolution is not as (indicated) and with only 250 watt power supply the card feels like its going to burn so I have no desire to test if a download will improve it.
Summary: Attempted multiple times to install in Win7 computer. Changed some Bios and video setting numerous times but card would not get recognized. I tried to install in my sons computer with same results. I saw similar problems posted online. I think this card is very flakey as to what Mobo and Bios settings and jumper changes are needed but you might get lucky. Buy only if you are sure it will work with your machine.
Summary: I use this to put computer video onto the TV. There's no lag or pixelation which I was a little worried about. It produces stunning images on a 1080p screen from every website I use. Amazon Prime movies come through beautifully!!
