Summary: I kept getting the error "display driver stopped responding and has recovered" found quite a few ways online that was suppose to fix this error and none of them worked for me. XFX was no help either. Sending this card back now, not sure what card I'll be getting in the future (now leery of Radeon), but will be going to my old GeForce 9600 GT.
Buy this card if you find one. XFX HD 690X-ZRFC I GB GDDR5 X-16 256-BIT

Summary: I bought this video card as present for my brother, we got some issues while installing but we thought that was something random, we were wrong, the AMD gpu it's just fine it can run BF3 on high setting and can run at about 55-60 frames per second, if you like to record while you play that is another history because the frame drops to 35, 30 frames per second, long history short, the catalyst software tell you that the GPU temperature is about 55-60 Celsius degrees while...
Summary: Installed the card and everything worked great for about 45 minutes...then the random crashes started. I tried re-installing the drivers, clean windows install, and just about everything one would do in this situation. The only real solution was to remove the card and go back to my old card. Computer is happy again and I am returning this card to Amazon for a refund.
Summary: I've been an ATI supporter since before they were actually a real competitor to Nvidia. I recently began upgrading my computer with an array of new parts (Asus Sabertooth 990FX board, AMD 4100 FX processor, 8 GB G.Skill DDR3 ram) and decided to purchase this card based on recommendations from Toms Hardware.
