Summary: Fan ball bearing got broken, can find replacement. Support is horrible. Need to create profile, then register product, if you have no barcode from box, you're out of luck. New heatsink cost $50.
Summary: I used to have Sapphire's version of this card, and it was far less noisy. I realize that the XFX model is significantly smaller, but it also has a much smaller fan and it has far less copper piping in it (without good reason, they easily could have fit them in). To compensate for this deficiency, the smaller, weaker fan must run at a much faster speed in order to keep the GPU cool.
Summary: I bought this card after it was recommended as the replacement for my older single monitor card. Initially the card worked fine. However within a month I noticed that my machine would shutdown occasionally without reason. Two weeks ago, my machine stared shutting down after a few minutes of runtime, although it would start right back up without a windows warning about failure to properly shutdown.
Summary: This review conducted is not directly to this particular model but about its' vender. I found so many issues with my own cards as well as so many other people online. I have bought three high end cards from them in the past. (1000 US worth down the drain) Most issue from Nvidia some ATI however please understand it's not Nvidia or AMD being the cause. They supply stock cards to XFX for mod and resell.
Summary: Bought this card for my new pc build, where I do a bit of gaming, and this card worked Nicely, wasn't loud and could run all my games on max settings and only started to kick in some sleight noise when high load, but thats normal. This continued on for about two months or so, until the fan began what I believe having problems with the fan bearings, and now it constantly makes a loud buzzing/scrapping noise, opting for a replacement.
Summary: This is a good product but I bought it hoping I will save $30 from the rebate. 1st its very hard to locate rebate on the website to fill out the proper form. Then, XFX has rejected all Amazon invoices I sent in. They have said they are SHIPPING CONFIRMATIONS and will not honor the rebate. I am disappointed that I had to spend an hour or more with XFX on phone and printing different looking invoices from amazon and faxing them and emailing and they are still rejecting.
Summary: These cards are extremely loud I'm currently 2 cards on crossfire and these cards sound like jet engines and the sad part it is not only gaming as they tend to go extremely loud with just regular media. for now I'm limiting my fan speed as these cards sound like crap over 50% fan speed. However, a normal card should not require such modifications in order to keep it cool.
Summary: well.. i know for sure that this product is good/ok... but! I oredered it and i found out that it isn't NEW!!! The card was not secured with cushioning inside the packege and damaged both the box and probably the card. MAKE SURE that the card comes with this FOAMY cushions... If not - IT ISN'T NEW! and likely damaged - broken. had to return.
Summary: XFX have awful customer service and require sending to the Netherlands for repair. Then it gets shipped to China where it's tested then back to you! Over 1 month it takes. These cards have been known to have problems. Mine causes freezes, have graphical errors (lines on screen) and also random crashes. The card itself (AMD Radeon 6870) when it works is amazing for the price. Runs all games at max settings at a reasonable fps and doesn't get too hot.
