Summary: This was a great decision, and I'll be looking for XFX products in the future as I continue to upgrade.
Pros: This card has served me extremely well for 4 years now - purchased it in August 2011 on sale for ~180USD, and it's pretty much blown everything away since then. As games came out over the years and I saw this card get closer and closer to the "minimum" requirements I began to worry - needlessly. ...
Cons: Four years later, it's finally time to move on and pick up another card as it's starting to show its age - likely due to the 1GB of VRAM.
Pros: The resilience of this product is truly exceptional. I purchased the XFX Double D HD-687A-ZDFC on 5/8/2012. It's now been running on my PC 24/7 with moderately high usage for over 3 years. It has never given me a single issue. Beautiful craftsmanship.
Pros: I Really Enjoy owning this card. I have been running it for nearly 3 years. It has migrated a few builds with me. It does well on pretty much any game at 1920x1080. It even plays several games at 5760*1080.
Summary: They've (2 Crossfire) been alright. I've always gotten decent performance out of them, but the fans are load. And I mean LOUD! Have you ever heard an F4 Phantom II doing it's run-up before take-off?
Pros: 1. Good performance for the value. 2. Noise is noticeable at load, but not too loud despite the two fans.
Cons: 1. It is a long card and the fit in your case may be a bit tight. 2. After only 2.5 years of moderate use, a suspected hardware malfunction on the card has caused both fans to spin at 100% nonstop, directly at boot. Manual fan control does not work and the fan is reporting its speeds incorrectly....
