Summary: It started with games crashing unexpectedly, But I shrugged it off as the card aging. Then, It started running hotter than normal but again, shrugged it off. But then it started having MANY issues.
Pros: Good card, Runs high settings on most games even today. Good value. Looks nice, And smooth performance. Stable, Reliable drivers, Wish I could say the same about the card. Still, From the performance it gave me I will be using Nvidia hardware again.
Cons: Loud, And runs a bit hot. After about 2 1/2 years it died, But that isn't too bad for a card that was put through Many a hard night of Hard gaming at high temps. (See explanation in Other)
Summary: I have a Ferrari, and I love it!, C2Q6600 overclocked to 3.2 Ghz, 680i mobo, 4 GB OCS, PSU 650W, HD 400GB. x2 and a DVD Burner and a CD-ROM.
Pros: This card delivers very good performance, at the beginning I was hesitating weather if I should put this card to the test; I play games such as LOMAC, FS9, FSX, GRAW, COD4, BF2142 and BF2, and this card performs extremely well on all of them at highest settings, all eye candy on a 22" monitor wit...
Cons: This is just in my case, it's the size, I don't have a very big case, my bad!, this thing is 10.5" I had to change some of my stuff around to make it fit, no big deal after I finish, but worth it. Also the fan, not a big deal for honestly I don't care too much, some times you can hear the fan a b...
Summary: The website specifications and pictures for the product indicate two 6-pin power connections and an included adapter to convert two 4-pin connectors to 6-pin. This gave me some concern when a reviewer indicated that the adapter was not included with the product.
Pros: It works as it should, and the purchase stimulated the economy. Or maybe not, with the NewEgg promotional discount, rebate and software bonus. Anyway, I'm satisfied with the product (for the price) and NewEgg's service.
Cons: The packaged quick install guide and manual on the CD are useful only to someone who doesn't know how to open the computer case. It appears old (Windows 98 thru XP) and generic. The PVT98WYDFH that I purchased is not as presented in the NewEgg pictures and discription (see other thoughts).
Summary: Pretty nice card, but kinda wished I woulda shelled a few more bucks for a little bigger card....still happy with the improvement from the 7600GT
Pros: Looks awesome and runs pretty fast. Settings always on high except for FarCry2....and still runs that pretty decent.
Cons: Runs warmer than expected.....idles@56-58 Celsius and games @ 58-64 Celsius. Didn't think it would run that hot but it still runs good.....had to take an egg for it though... can't just give those eggs away!!!!
Summary: Does not come with accessories shown. Had to contact XFX support to get SPDIF cable and HDMI dongle. It took a while for the initial response, but the technical support was good, and they sent the items free of charge quickly.
Pros: Can run all my games with all options set to max at 1680 x 1250 at great frame rates. Extremely quite when in 2D desktop mode, only mild fan noise while gaming (not sure if it is the CPU fan, plus game audio covers it right up). HDCP works great for BlueRay playback.
Cons: Manuals are useless, especially if you want to setup for HDMI to home theater for BlueRay.
